Course Curriculum Overview
I chose CSE(AI&ML) as my course. I chose this course as it has good scope for employment shortly. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:40. The faculty is below average at best. The teaching method is generic blackboard lectures with extremely rare usage of screen and projector. It would be best suited to study on your own rather than depending on the faculty.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are being hiked every year. In recent times, they have increased by 20,000 rupees every year starting from 2020. This also applies to the bus fees. Normally it costs up to 4,00,000 rupees, now it is at a minimum of 6,00,000, depending on the course chosen. Scholarship and financial assistance depend on your caste and other family conditions.
Campus Life
Annual fests are lackluster, as most people who participate in the event are exclusively part of the college clubs, anyone else will end up as a mere audience. Books are often overpriced. You can buy for way cheaper outside, but they will insist on buying on the campus for the "CMR" logo. There are adequate subject books in the library. Classrooms often have faculty projector setups. Sports and extracurricular activities often end up selecting on a partial basis.
Admission
I took admission to cmrtc through counseling from ts eamcet. I scored a rank of 50151. I got a seat in this college through counseling. Initially, I got the application details online. I got the form online and paid the fees at the same. I think the admission process can be improved by providing slots to each student because on the self-reporting day, everyone crowded at the office and there was no order. It took several hours to finish the admission process. I feel this to be a suitable improvement to the admission process during counseling at least.
