Course Curriculum Overview
The college enjoys a rich alumni base from all over the world. Most of the faculty members are well-read and helpful and can be approached by students anytime. Although faculty to student ratio is a bit less. On an average, there are 70 students in a class. The software branches like cse, it and et have decent placement trends. The college also offers engineering courses from branches like oil plastic biochemical etc. that we don't find in many colleges. Terms exams are of a moderate level that tests your concepts although you can pass them easily if you study the concepts even after studying for a week before exams
Internships Opportunities
Some students do get internship opportunities from the campus although majority students have to seek internships from off campus. Internship opportunities are provided on the basis of cgpa of the students.
Placement Experience
There are plenty of placement opportunities for software branches like cse, it and electronics too. Placement opportunities in mechanical engineering are also good and the college has a good alumni base. Most students get placed at the start of the fourth year although companies keep visiting throughout the year. Besides placement, some students also get internship opportunities in the third year
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees of the college for a year is 135000 for the first year and 120000 for subsequent years along with hostel and mess fees of around 60000 per year. Effectively one BTech here costs around 7 lakhs. Although the fees might seem a bit hiked for a govt. college but if you are hailing from ews category you get a scholarship from up government scheme. The scholarship ranges from 40000 to 100000 according to your category and fees.
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest of hbtu is called adhyaay which happens in the month of April Agaaz is the sports fest of hbtu and the technical fest is called technica. The sports facility is top-notch for sports like cricket and basketball here although other not-so-popular sports suffer due to lack of infrastructure for them.
Admission
The college provides admission on the basis of jee mains rank. The application form is provided on the college's official site WWW.HBTU.AC.IN Students of this college are provided scholarships from up govt. scheme.
