Course Curriculum Overview

I have opted for Paint Technology as my B.Tech course because of its Placement. And also the alumni network of HBTU Kanpur is very good because the college is more than 100 years old. We have 2 mid-semesters in one semester, and one end sem examination.

Many companies provide internship opportunities to our college students. Internships are of both types paid and unpaid. Many companies also offer PPO with their internship offers.

Placement Experience

The placement is very good. The highest package is nearly around 43.5 LPA this year with an average package of 8 LPA. Last year overall 88% of students were placed. At the end of the 7th semester the placement drive starts.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the 1st Year B.Tech course is 1,35,000. As it is a government college there are many types of scholarships are provided and anyone can get an education loan from a bank easily with less paperwork.

Campus Life

The social life on campus is very good. There are a total of 9 Sub-councils in our college. Our college organizes Adhyaay the cultural event of our college, Aagaz the sports event, and Technika the technical event.

Admission

The Admission process is solely based on JEE Mains Rank. One has to appear in JEE Mains and have to secure a good rank to get admission. There is no direct admission to B.Tech courses. There is a total of 13 branches for the B.Tech course.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. My plan is to get government job.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats.
