Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is Btech in the ET branch. ET stands for electronic in HBTU. I chose it because I had interested in logical circuits and devices. Electronic is having combined department with electrical. Although the electronics department is in progress. Within 2-3 years electronics will have a separate department. The strength of faculties is average. Around 10-15 professors are there in the ET department. There are 70-75 students in each class. The qualifications of teachers are fairly good. Almost all have done MTech and some are with Ph.D. too. The exam is there after every 2_3 months and passing is very easy, although scoring very well is also difficult.

Internships Opportunities

3

Not many opportunities are provided in college. Still, if you are good in DSA and development skills, you can grab a decent internship. Internship opportunities as a whole are not good. I don't have a project as such because I am preparing for the gate.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is fairly nice. 11-12 lakh per anumati is the average for CS IT students. For ET students 9 lakh is average, below Et conditions are not good for EE ME, etc. Placement on average is 9 lakh per annum. Several companies like Samsung, Berger paints, Maruti, TCS, cognizant, etc. come. The percentage of a student getting placement is around 60-70. I aim to crack the gate. So I am not very interested in the placement. More or less placement is good only for the IT sector, but core lacks.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees are 1,35,000 for the first year, and from the second year onwards it is 129000. The the scholarship opportunity is very good. Large no. Students applying for scholarships and people satisfying the criteria get it too. The opportunity for an internship is also fairly nice. College gives me time to go for an internship. Also since the college is now 101 years old, so it has a great alumni network hence, a large no. Companies come here and placement is very nice.

Campus Life

3.5

Life at the campus is very exciting for me. Large no. Of fest are conducted including ADHYAY, AARAMBH, TECHNIKA, SANVAAD, etc. Audi is there for students to practice nd there are several areas for students to play and enjoy music. The library is not very good. Books are very old. Yes if you want to sit and study there then it's fine, but it closes at 5 pm so you can't stay after 5 pm. Sports facilities is fine but preference is given to cricket. The sports sub-council is present for conducting sports events. AAGAZ event happens for sports.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are good in newly made hostels but in old ones, conditions are worse. In LV old, infrastructure and everything is very poor. Even basic amenities like water and all are also not very good. But in new ones like LV new, things are very nice. The rooms are also very nice and clean. The meal is good in old ones as compared to new ones. LV old has the best mess food in the entire hbtu. The registration process is fully online. Fees and everything are filled out online. Nd system of allotment is the first to come first type.

Admission

The admission process was fairly easy. The college takes admission from jee mains scorecard. The college conducts its counseling and announces results. The application form is available on the college's website, and all info related to fees and application dates is provided on the website itself. One improvement I want is that college has to Carter rush properly. On the day of physical reporting, there is a lot of rush which needs to be improved. Students are not able to get info easily, and every official is in rush.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
