It is fantastic college if you are really interested in clinical medicine. Kurnool is known as the hub of doctors in AP and it's college KMC does not dissapoint you.

I took EAMCET in 2008. I scored 543 rankI chose Kurnool Medical College because of its rich history. It's the biggest medical college cum hospital in Rayalaseema and the 3 Rd best in AP after Omani And Gandhi.

Course curriculum is same in every college, year- Anatomy, physiology biochemistry, year- pharma, path, micro, forensics, year- ophthalmic, ENTER, Community medicine year- Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics& gynecology, orthopaedics, pediarics.We have 3 internal exam every year+ 2 internal practical exams.year- morning 9 to 11 we have two theory classes and then 12 to 1 there is Anatomy dissection with 1 dead body for every 15 students. In the after noon we have histology and physiology and biochemistry practicals.2nd 3rd and 4th year we have ward postings in the hospital in the morning and classes in the afternoon.

This is a medical college so no placements but you can apply for PHC postings after MBBS you can also apply for causality medical officer posts in the college itself generally most students prefer to study further for MD after MBBS.

We have a hostel day and college day every year all the students participate we also do charity work programmes for near by colleges also freshers days, teachers days programmes are also done sports competitions are also seen every year.

Very very feasible just 10000 per year with out hostel hostel fees 3000 per month 10000 should be paid in one installment only mess bill can be paid every 3 months these are just nominal fees and so I dont think anybody will find It difficult to pay.

Loans availability is there with andhra bank they pay your college fee hostel fee and text books in the former of 1 lac a year there are no scholarships as far as I know.

60 to 40 is the ratio with more girl's hostel day is celebrated where in boys can go to girls hostel and vice versa there is absolutely no racial discrimination and certainly no discrimination based on ecomnomy.

The food in men's medical hostel is one of the best in the state. It's a student run mess. So there is no compromise on quality you get chicken 2 times a week and egg two times a week all this for just around 3000 per month.Rooms- the only hostel in state

There is a website It is maintained by old students and it is very helpful ragging has decreased now drastically, previously Ragging was rampant, but now with strict rules and punishments it is hardly seen anywhere.Seniors are always very helpful especially during exam period as they guide you.

Exams are chilled out, but lab exams are very strict and they test your clinical skill. They do not leave us stressed. Internal examiners helps you a lot during external practicals.

Faculty at present not of much standards we have very good faculty in pediatric branch in Dr sudhakar and Dr rafique.In medicine Dr Rajashekar and Dr bhavani prasad are one of the topmost in our state.
