Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the mechanical engineering branch coz it was the best choice according to my rank. When I came here I came to know that mechanical is the best branch in every aspect. The faculty-student ratio is quite good here. All faculties are well qualified. Most are PhD from IITs and from renowned institutes in India. Some teachers are strict but they are supportive. There are two mid sem and one end sem examination in each semester. All three exams are conducted at the interval of one month. In the first year copy checking is easy but from 2nd year for core branches copy checking becomes harder.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities come from the last of 2nd year. Due to good alumni base students get good internship opportunities with stipends from Rs10000 per month to Rs40000 per month. Students get internships at tata, exon mobile, l&nt, etc.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester. This is a 100-year-old college so due to strong alumni base companies hire a lot here. Companies like exon mobil, reliance, Adani, cognizant, Samsung, Asian paints, Indian oil maruti suzuki, hero, lt etc come here. Out of eligible students, 80 to 95 per cent of students get placed. Some students also opt for gate, cat, upsc and also startups. I am planning for the gate.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total cost including hostel is about 200000rs. 135000 for college fees and 18000 per semester which is mess fees plus room rent of 25000 per year. There is also an up govt scholarship which gives scholarships from Rs 50000 to Rs 95000 annually. There is a hike of 10 per cent in fees every year
Campus Life
There are two cultural fests adhyaay and aarambh, sports fest aagaz, and technical fest technicka. Last year celebrities like yasser desai, Rahul Jain, Rahul dua, poets Asim Azhar etc have come. There are various clubs ASCPC, PSMC, aero club, auto rob, dancing and singing clubs. They organise their respective events every month. There is also a coding community in the college. Some students are also involved in their own startups. The student community is quite active here.
Hostel Facilities
All necessary requirements are provided here such as bed table chair almirah etc. The meal is of average quality. The menu is decided by the students themselves. Hostels can be registered on the official website. You can also rent a room in nawabganz at an affordable price.
Admission
The eligibility of this is to pass jee mains. The application form is available on hbtu.ac.in. Application fees are 2500rs. Counselling starts in the month of August and till the last week of November. So make sure to arrange all required documents by August to avoid any further issues.
