Course Curriculum Overview

3

My course is Btech in Computer science and engineering. I had the option to choose from CSE and CSE AI. I went for CSE because AI had maths in it and since I'm not a maths lover I went for normal CSE. Also, CSE is an evergreen branch. Cse students get maximum placement. There are around 60-70 students in each class. In the first year we get research scholars as our faculty. After that, we get senior professors. Some professors are good and some are average. Faculty members are phd. Exams are timely and if we start preparing 2 weeks before them then we can manage them easily.

Internships Opportunities

2

Adobe, Flipkart, ola, uber, and Microsoft google all offer internships in our college and these are the companies which give around 1 lakh stipend. There are more companies like Tcs optum that offer a little less stipend but for experience purposes they are good. Projects can be made in web development, app development, machine learning, etc

Placement Experience

3.5

As far as I've heard the placements are very good and students become eligible for campus placements by the end of 3rd year. The exact data can be found on the University website but approximately 200 companies visited our campus and made many offers. The highest package was given by google(59 LPA) and the average package was around 15 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placement is around 70-80. I want to get a placement first then I'll work for 2-3 years after that I'll go for MBA with my own money

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is good. It is around 4,80000 for 4 years Btech. Yearly fees are 120000. They don't hike the fees every year. Many scholarships are available in our college. Also one can get scholarships from the Delhi government if they are a reserved category student. Our college provides scholarships to meritorious students. Financial assistance is given to children who lost their parents in covid or war. Campus placement is very good for our college. Almost all the companies visit our college. Last year 45 girls from our college got placed in Microsoft.

Campus Life

1.5

The campus is very small and the campus life is very boring since it's an only girls' college. The campus size is just 6 acres. Colleges like DTU and NSUT have a size of 150 acres. If you want a good college life then never come to this college. The annual fest is taarangana and it is celebrated in the month of Feb-march. The tech fest is innerved and it is celebrated in October. We also have a Diwali fest known as jhilmil which is celebrated around Diwali. The library is very huge and it has thousands of books in it. One can find all the books in Library. Classrooms are average.

Admission

I got admission to this college through the JEE MAINS exam. I got around 33000 ranks in my JEE MAINS 2021. After that, I applied for JAC and JOSAA counselling. JAC is for Delhi government colleges namely DTU, IIITD, NSUT and IGDTUW. One can find all the details on the JAC website. The application starts after the jee mains result is declared. Reservation benefits are many. The categories are OBC, SC, ST etc. The Delhi students can get admission at a higher rank as compared to Non Delhi students. 75% of the seats in every Delhi government college are reserved for Delhi students i.e the students who did their 10th and 12th for Delhi. The admission process was very smooth. We have to apply for choices then we get a college based on our rank. There are certain rounds and we can float/freeze our college and branch accordingly. Also, the refund process is also smooth. There is an extra spot around for the left-out seats. This spot round is offline. The rest of the rounds are online.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
