Great placements strong alumni network

I chose electrical engineering. Last year various students of electrical passed the gate with decent ranks. The student-faculty ratio is quite good here. All of my branch professors are Ph.D. from IITs. In each semester there are 2 mid-semester exams and one end-semester examination in 1 month. The semester usually starts in December. The first-year exams are not that hard but from 2nd-year difficulty increases in terms of copy checking.

Internships are available from 2nd year to the final year. Students get a stipend from 15000 to 50000 per month. Students also get internships from govt organisations like DRDO, PWD, etc. With roles like project manager students get high industrial exposure. Tata exon Mobil Paytm Maruti Suzuki-like companies have stipends.

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements. Companies like Reliance, Samsung, cognizant, Paytm, Airtel, lnt, Asian paints, aarti industries, and also some multinational companies visit here. Last year's highest package of 55/pa and the lowest was 3.5lpa. was given. The highest was from CSE. In CSE and IT all eligible students get placed. For chemical technology from 70 to 90 percent of students gets placed. In electrical most students opt for higher studies. In mechanical 95 percentage students got placed. I am planning to give a gate as well as a cat.

College fees are 135000 per year. There are various government scholarships like UP govt scholarship which gave scholarships ranging from 52000 for general 55000 for OBC 93000 for sc etc. Whenever opportunities for government and private scholarships come students have reaped them. In my batch, 70 percentage students who applied got a scholarship Those who didn't get it due to insufficient funds from govt treasures.

There are two cultural fests Adhyaay and aarambh, sports fest Aagaz, technical fests Technica, and e summits, that are conducted here. Last year celebrities Yasser Desai, Rahul Jain, Rahul dua, ojha sir, Asim Azhar, and dz bands have performed here. The library is one of the oldest in India. You will all the necessary books here. For sports, there is great scope in cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, chess, etc. There are clubs like aeroclub as CPC (which connects alumni) psmsc auto rob gruv(dancing) and octave (singing). There is also a good coding community.

Infrastructure is an area that this college lacks. Even the hostel infrastructure is not that up to mark. If you have any queries it takes months to solve. Meal quality is average and the menu is decided by the student community. Hostels can be registered on the official website hbtu.ac.in. Mess fees are 18000 per semester and room rent 25000 per year. You can also rent a room in Nawabganj at affordable prices.

I am in 2nd year of electrical engineering. So students are required to pass with a decent rank in Jee mains. You can fill out the application form in hbtu.ac.in. Counseling starts in the month of August and till the last week of November. The only area of improvement is query management during counseling time.
