Life inside JUET

Being a science and computer student, I have a great interest in engineering and computer science, also my father wants me to be an engineer so I opted for this course. The faculty of our college is quite good, many of our professors are IITian/NITian. They are very desperate about teaching and providing valuable education. Also, every student is provided with a mentor in the College who look after any problems and difficulties faced by any students and try to solve them. All the professors have a Ph.D. in their respective subjects and most of the professors are IITian/ NITian and have great skills of teaching. The best thing I like about my college is it's examination process. Basically, our college used to take 3 tests in a semester, First exam(T1) is for 15 marks, the second (T2) is for 25 marks and the third (T3) is for 35 marks and the students are judged our the results of all the three tests. Also, the College has criteria for giving extra marks on the basis of good attendance.

Students become eligible for sitting in placement interviews after their third year. A good no. Of companies used to visit our college including Google, Amazon, Infosys, etc. Above 350+ companies visited our college for placements. Above 90% of students used to get placed from our campus. This year the highest on-campus package was 44 LPA. After getting btech degree, I have decided to do MBA.

Personally, I think my college is not providing facilities as per its fees. My hostel fee is 80000 / semester which I think is high according to the hostel provided to us. Only one kind of scholarship is provided to eligible students, who have their father or mother in the armed forces. (30% concession in tuition fees).

Life on our campus is moderate, not very good as I expected from this college. Our college majorly looks after the academics but not very much the clubs and fests. But the greenery and the cleanliness of our campus are literally appreciable. Our campus is having a lake inside the boundaries which makes our campus even more beautiful.

The eligibility criteria of my colleagues were a minimum of 80% in class 12th if a student wants to get direct admission to the college. If a student wants to get admission on the basis of JEE Mains percentile then he must hai above the 85 percentile. All the information related to the admission process, fees, forms, and dates is available on our college website. Being a General (caste), I was not under the terms and conditions of the scholarship/benefits provided by our college. At the time of my admission, my registration was gone smoothly without any kind of obstacles, so I didn't find anything that should be changed in the registration process of our college.
