Remarks

The college and hostel life is an amazing experience. One that very Amitian will always cherish. College management is pretty great, whole of Amity works via Amizone, which is our app, it is a great way to track and manage your progress throughout your co

Entrance Preview

I didn't give any exams to get into this course, Journalism doesn't require one. We had a test and a personal interview for getting admission into Amity.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It was great. Fun subjects, a lot of practical subjects at that. There was Radio, Photography, Graphics, News Analysis. It basically covers all the bases.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't had the chance to go for an internship yet as I am in the 1st year. But from what I hear, the college offers great internships. They list of places they send is pretty long. Even though I am not much aware of other faculties, journalism students do get sent to good media houses.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are amazing. Most students get placement right out of college. Again, the list of places where students get placed is pretty long.

College Events

5

The list is never ending. Every festival is celebrated in a grand way. There is a huge inter-Amity sports meet in October. AYF, Amity Youth Fest, is a huge fest that takes place in February. It is organised on a grand scale.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure might a little expensive for most people but in the end you realize that it was worth it, because they put your money to good use and you get great returns in the form of amazing facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college had tied up with the Canara Bank and AllahabadBank, for easy loans for the students. The college also proved 100% and 50% scholarships based on the students 12th grade percentage.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is one of the best you can find. The hostel celebrates every little festival with jest. Campus has a very strict Anti-Ragging policy that actually is followed by the students. Education at Amity is an all round education, with different clubs and activities, like Acting Club, Photography Club and an on-campus Radio Station.

Hostel Facilities

5

The Hostel is great, if not a little too strict with the rules. They have AC hostel and Non-AC as well. The AC hostel provides four singles rooms with a common room, kitchenette and a bathroom. The hostel as well as the campus is very well maintained and

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are amazing and very friendly, with the Anti-Ragging policy in place, the junior-senior relationship is good. As a journalism student, one of our alumni is a movie actor, Himansh Kohli.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is pretty good. We have eleven subjects spread out over the course of twenty days. Enough time to prepare for each one, without it being too hectic.

Faculty

5

They were the best, most amazing faculty I have ever seen. Most teacher had a solid professional past. The way of teaching is great. It's interactive, they make studying fun and interesting.

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith - [MGKVP], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education)
Reviewed on Feb 17, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My Biggest reason to choose this subject to I like art related work,so I choose this subject. One advantage of doing this subject is that along with art,you can learn a lot from other social and cultural aspect as well. There is a need to make some improvements in this subject such a a course should be of shorter duration and the syllabus should be made a little shorter. Whatever the exam, the subject should be made a short subject with less duration and should not be of long duration.
