What Students Say
Likes
- Friends (I got the best group of people here at my college)
- Exposure (There are too many prominent people visiting here all around the year and a great opportunity to connect with them)
- Alumni network (One of the best in the country and they are too helpful)
Dislikes
- People tend to push you back to prosper. Too much "saanpgiri" as they say.
- Not too many food outlets inside IIT Delhi which makes you go outside to eat.
- Admin is the worst. He doesn't want you to live your life but rather study all day and be machines
Course Curriculum Overview
According to me, I have one of the best branches suited for me. The academic load is also not too much and we can also do ECAs. The faculty in our college is good only if you are research-oriented. Otherwise, I think they are not much of use. You basically have to study from slides and books just before exams.
Internships Opportunities
Too many opportunities for you here. Too many alumni want to have you as interns. We have the best workforce in the world. If you are a girl, it will become way too easy for you else you will have to do DSA and learn to code.
Placement Experience
I would argue that placements at IIT Delhi are the best in the country with n number of opportunities. There are various fields in which one can apply for the placements ranging from consulting firms, trading firms, HFTs, core companies, and many more that would interest the most engineers in the country. Lastly, if you are in IIT, you are gonna get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee for the course I am pursuing is around 11 lakh rupees. I took a student loan for it and it's pretty easy for students of IIT to get a student loan. Most of the banks are willing to provide loans for IITs and other prominent institutes such as NITs, BITS, etc.
Campus Life
It's too happening I would say. I have too many diverse groups of friends, some study too much, some participate in too many club events, and there are some people who are doing a thing of their own I have a friend who wants to be a director and one an NFT artist. Infrastructure is something that I would not complain about but something that I am not too proud of. Exposure at IIT Delhi is damn good, maybe the best in the country.
Admission
Admission to IITs is simple - first, we have to qualify for JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced, and based on that we have to select our preferences on JOSAA and then we are allotted colleges and branches. I had been studying for that since 9th grade. Well, I don't actually remember the cut-off as my AIR was good (799). Dedication can provide you with fruitful results.
