Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite good. In the first year, you will study the extended version of the course you have studied in earlier classes, in your school. Later on, in the next 3 years, you will get knowledge in the field of your selected branch. Here at AKGEC faculty to student ratio is quite good. The number of students in each section is approximately 60 and there is 18 section for the first year. Lecture time for each class is 50 min with a well-educated (but boring) faculty. Qualification of maximum faculty is a master's degree in their respective field for having Ph.D. If we talk about exams in this college, they organize exams very frequently. There are 4 to 5 exams you have to give before the end sem exam. One good thing is that you can pass it very easily by doing last night's study. They mostly ask selected questions from the previous year.
Placement Experience
The average Placement is 4-4.5 LPA and the highest package offered by amazon of 1.13 Cr annually. For campus, placement student becomes eligible after the 6th sem. Major companies are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, and COGNIZANT. Major placed students are from CSE or IT departments in IT Companies. I am also looking to be placed in a software company with a decent package.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee is 1,44,000 for 1st year, 1,20,000 for 2nd year, and 1,10.000 for 3rd and 4th year. After this Hostel fee is 1,20,000 per year. You have to give the full fee at the start of the year. College does not provide any scholarship or financial assistance but you can apply for state govt. scholarship. College does not provide any internship you have to find it on your own. But college surely gives campus placement opportunities.
Campus Life
Here the college does not organize any fest. But sometimes various societies do organize small games, contests, or fests. The College has a big central library where you can access thousands of books and journals. Classrooms(i.e. Lecture Theatre ) are big spacious and airy, but there is no air conditioning. Labs and Library are air conditioning with wi-fi access. College is not enough good for sports and extracurricular activities.
Admission
Admission to this college is done by passing the JEE Main exam conducted by NTA with a minimum percentile of 85 approx. (for the Computer Science branch). As per the official notification released by NTA, JEE Main exam's month for this year is Jan and April. The NTA released the JEE Mains application form on 15th Dec 2022 for session 1 and again on 15th Feb for 2the nd Session. Last date for the 2nd session application form is 12th March. The application fee is 1000 for boys(Gen/ Gen-EWS/ OBC-NCL candidates) and 800 for girls(Gen/ Gen-Ews/ OBC-NCL) and for SC/ ST it's 500.
