Average College

Faculty Members are not very supportive while some are extremely supportive. There is 1 faculty per 62-63 students in a classroom. The faculty is mostly M.Tech and Ph.D. qualified. The teaching is okayish. The term exams were timely and passing is not very difficult.

The fee hikes occur every 1-2 years. This year they hiked by 500rs only. Scholarship benefits are available. Some of them include AKTU Scholarship Program, BSF Scholarship, and other Govt. Funded scholarships. I am still in 2nd yr.

Infrastructure is average. Labs are well maintained especially the labs in IT, First Yr, Civil and Mechanical Department. Assistance from Texas Instruments, Siemens, etc. is provided. Many labs have been converted to purely Computer Aided tools. The library is the best of all. Each title has 40-45 copies, so you never run out of books. Coursebooks, have enough copies to provide a full booklet to everyone for every semester. The library is fully automated. We have scientific journals in the library. Classrooms are very unequally distributed in facilities. Very good sports culture. We won AKTU Zonals. All the college websites are run by NCS( Nibble Computer Society: hackncs.in) except (jssaten.ac.in). Digital Attendance System, JSS Infoconnect. hackncs.in. We have a Competitive Programming Platform (https://codepad.hackncs.in/). We have a good record of students selected in GSOC, MLH, etc. Very hard to date girls in the same year. They usually prefer seniors.

The Admission process was based on AKTU Counselling as per JEE Mains Rank of the student. The counseling was conducted by UPTAC (https://admissions.nic.in/UPTAC/applicant/Root/home.aspx?enc=yVQCIiq12npg+pcvNJRdc3pmUZsZ/wqk0GoZKvp7J7yvbJQLxVfLKeJw7zn0hHUP). I scored a percentile of 96.67 (40,000 INR) Counselling Fee : 20000(Freezing) , 20000(Floating) I am from the Gen category so no reservation benefits availed I wish the procedure should be more transparent so that students so our semesters don't get delayed.
