Course Curriculum Overview
As a tech geek, I chose this course. I like the combination of electronics and computer science together. student to faculty ratio here is 1:65.The faculty here is very qualified and completed their PhDs from renowned colleges. They are also very helpful when it comes to exams or some project work. The exams here are at the end of every month and yeah it is a bit difficult to pass here.
Internships Opportunities
An internship here generally starts in 2 nd year. Companies like Microsoft offer software engineering internships for students. but most of the time students prefer to take off-campus internships. And I know many seniors at my college who are placed in very good companies for internships.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities here are average compared to government colleges. but the statistics are becoming good day by day as last year the highest package was 56 LPA. Here the companies that visit are HCL, Accenture, Adobe, ION, and many more the average package is 3-4 LPA and the highest was 56 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 88%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are affordable if you are not taking a hostel but with the hostel, it will cost you much more. If you want to take scholarships etc. there are many scholarships that come here every year just make sure that you fulfil the eligibility criteria well. A scholarship here is provided by the UP govt too you can check the details on the official website of AKTU for it.
Campus Life
Here college life is not that good for the first year. But after 1 st semester, you get to sit in the recruitment process of different clubs/societies of your related interests. And there you learn many things and also learn social interaction. Sports facilities are good if we see it as a private college. Also, there are clubs like Google developer student club, Microsoft Mobile Innovation Lab and etc related to coding which offers tons of great opportunities and experiences to you.
Admission
The eligibility criteria of the course is an all-India engineering entrance exam popularly known as the Joint entrance exam. So the required cutoff for a general student in ECE in JSS is 88 to 93 percentile. You can easily find the application form on the website of JSSATEN but if you want to apply through counselling for getting reservation benefits you have to apply through AKTU's official website. If you are an SC/ST/OBC candidate you will get admission with some less percentile as compared to general students. The admission process was very smooth there were no hurdles that I faced in the admission process.
