Course Curriculum Overview
I had a keen interest in learning computer science and hence I chose the course. There are lectures that are taken by a single teacher for 2 batches (up to 60 students) and then there are tutorial classes with a teacher for 1 batch (around 30 students). The Faculty here is highly qualified with a lot of knowledge and they are aware of how to keep students included in the class. Exams here are conducted very frequently, 3 weeks later there are internal and end sem exams (T1, T2, and T3: T referring to test). Also within the gap interval, there are class tests, lab tests, lab evaluations, and project submissions. Overall it is a very hectic schedule only revolving around the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Being in my second year, currently I am unaware of internship opportunities available at my college. But to my knowledge, there are very few on-campus internship opportunities provided to the students.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There are tons of companies and a number of offers made from Adobe to Accenture and many more that can be seen on the official website of the college. The highest package last year was around Rs. 56 LPA and the average package of Rs. 10 LPA. My plan after getting the degree is of getting placed in a good company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees here are considerably high around Rs.1,27,000 per semester (generally 6 months but mostly ends in 4.5-5 months). There is no scholarship or financial assistance as of my knowledge and very less time is provided if someone is unable to pay the fees with a fine. As of now, I am in the second year, hence not getting any on-campus job.
Campus Life
There has been no annual fest, tech fest, or even official freshers conducted by the college. We the students have been continuously asking them to please consider our request for the same but they are just denying it every time. This has led to a great decrease in morale among the students as we are just stuck in the curriculum and exams that are being conducted almost every week, and all of us are mentally exhausted. There are lots of books and journals available in the library. Classrooms have centralized temperatures with projectors for teachers to teach better with a capacity of 120 students. Sports equipment are provided by the college and we even have hubs for extracurricular activities but the college had taken Rs.700 from each student in the name of conducting activities and fest and for the past 2 years there has been nothing done and neither the fund has been provided to the hubs.
Admission
Eligiblity was based on the percentage scored in 10+2 or equivalent. There was another way also which was based on the AIR ranking in JEE exam but I got through 10+2 or equivalent without any personal interview or group discussion. Application form was available on the website with a fees of Rs. 1000 per form.
