Course Curriculum Overview
I have had a keen interest in Computers since my childhood and thus I wanted to pursue Computer Engineering. Also, BIT Durg has had a history of producing good computer engineers and since it is near to my home, I will be delighted to be a part of it. The university exams are also conducted on time and the faculty is supportive throughout the semesters. Overall, it has been a great journey so far.
Internships Opportunities
I am currently working on a project called e-Mandi which is aimed to help farmers to get connected to National Agriculture Market. I have been offered an internship by SAP labs for a monthly stipend of 25000.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike policy is locked at a 7% YOY basis. With the amenities that the college provides, I think such a hike is very decent and the possible output definitely justifies the cost of study. I got a 30% scholarship in my 2nd semester for topping the exams which helped me manage my financial expenses. With the learnings I have, I am sure I will get a decent campus placement offer.
Campus Life
The college conducts an annual fet called OJAS in FEB-MARCH of every year. It is a grand gathering of college students across the country receiving more than 10000 footfalls. The library here contains a diverse range of books from fictional to scientific ones. It is open for 14 hours every day and thus supports the students in every way possible. The classroom is equipped with a Central Cooling system with interactive smart boards which helps the students in their learning. Apart from sports fest, monthly tournaments are also organized across branches for games like cricket, football, etc. Click campaign is a club for potential photographers where they gather to share their photography skills with hands-on experience.
Admission
The process was smooth as I was given counseling by an expert who provided me with: Minimum marks required in HSC for different courses. Previous year cutoffs for all branches. Detailed brochure of the college to understand the code of conduct. After filling out the application form, I got a call from the college the very next day and they guided me about the fee details and date of admission. In the admission process, a virtual tour of the college can be provided for an informed decision.
