Insights of IMI-Kolkata

the course curriculum is really good in comparison to other B schools rather than IIMs and I have chosen this course because I love corporate exposure and am a finance maniac so am working for my dream jobs and work culture. Faculty members are really helpful they will help you anytime and they, again and again, ask the students to come in the office with their doubts so that students can perform better in the exams and they always suggest not to prepare for the exams only but for your better life and placements purposes. They are highly qualified and have a lot of teaching experience in their field. IMI gives you the trimester-based exams and meanwhile, you will be facing projects, assignments, and Quizzes and all are crucial for the mark sheets.

I got SIP in ICICI Bank with a stipend of 15K, and I didn't get the offer letter yet so cannot disclose the role offered to me. Gartner came here in the Analytics domain offering a stipend of 50,000 per month with a PPO of 17.5 lacs and some startups came offered an ok-ish stipend and a subsidiary if ICICI bank also came.

Placements are good and after the 4th-trimester students will be eligible for sitting in the final placements and after the 1st-trimester students will be eligible for the summer internship. Gartner, Big 4 and Grant Thornton like companies that hire in bulk with good packages but Gartner don't hire in bulk and it offers the PPO also after the SIP with around 17lacs, as of now I am not informed of the highest package because I still placements are going on so don't know right now. 97% of students get the placements from the college

The total fees of the college which I paid are 14.65 lacs for two years including hostel and mess charges. As fees can hike every year and this is normal I think because every college does the same no one has the same fee structure every year. you can avail scholarship of 1.5 lacs when you get admission based on your CAT score, or some other terms and conditions. In the EWS category, you will get a 100% scholarship on the tuition fees. yes you will be getting a good job on the campus

IMI has their own annual fest named CONFERO which recently happened from 17-19th Feb 2023 it was really amazing and a number of activities with cash prize money were conducted by the different clubs of IMI-K. The availability of Books and Journals is enough for the students and there are Bloomberg systems in the library as well, CMEI, Prowess IQ etc. Classrooms are fully equipped with comfortable chairs, AC, projectors and computerised Podiums. There is ISL in IMI-K which is the IMI Sports League in which there are a number of sports activities you can find. IMI also have a lot of clubs and committees in which students manage everything.

The room has fully furnished with AC, Wardrobes, a Books Rack, a Study desk with wall fitted study lamp, a bed with bedding and a chair and proper lights are also in the room. The food quality is really good and you can find a variety of foods every day according to the set menu with veg and non-veg both. Everyone can avail hostel and affordability is also good not that much in cost. IMI is located in the Alipore of Kolkata where you can find PG or Flat at 10K-15K easily.

Eligibility of the course PGDM is you have to be graduated with any stream because MBA colleges don't limit anyone on the basis of stream, you should appear in the entrance exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, and NMAT. You can find the application form on the college website, application fees and application dates everything will be displayed on the website itself. yes, there are some reservations for EWS students you can directly get the 100% scholarship if you have the EWS certificate with you when the college asks you to give then you have to provide certain documents and then they proceed accordingly. As I do not personally recommend any improvement in the admission process because they are doing already well.

In IMI there is a little bit different procedure to take admission, First is WAT in which a topic will be provided to you within 20 mins, in which you have to write on that topic around 350 words in 20mins, if you will be selected then you will be called for personal interview and during the interview you have to face the extempore in which you will be given a topic randomly and you have to speak on it for 1 min and the PI happen after it. I have prepared by reading the news and being aware of the scenarios going on at that time. PI questions will be related to WHY MBA, WHY IMI and all and related to your domain and other things.
