Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Placement is pretty good in this college and since ECE is a circuital branch so I opted for this course. Here student: The prof ratio is 50:1. Prof is highly qualified but the teaching method is not satisfactory. In the end, we have to study on our own for getting better grades. Yaa if you are dependent on prof, u can pass the exams. There are 2 main exams, mid-sem, and end-sem. Also 2 minor exams each of 10 marks in prof's hand. You will get assignments frequently. NITW ECE is one of the toughest branches.

Internships Opportunities

4

About 80+ companies visited this year for internship and the stipend range was 20k-2 lakh. On average, it was 70k. If you are from CSE, ECE, or EEE then almost all companies will open for you. For other branches, it depends upon a branch.

Placement Experience

5

The best thing for this college is placement and internship. Internship starts from the 5th sem and placement from the 7th sem. In internship around 80 companies visited and out of 1000 students, about 300 students got internships. For ECE the average package is 18 lakh and placement statistics are going up only. ECE placement percentage is also good. The last sem it was 95%.

Fees and Financial Aid

If your family income is less than 1 lakh or an sc-st candidate, then u will get a 100% fee remission. For 1-5 lakh, it is 25%. You will get many scholarships also. Coming to hostel fee, it is increasing nowadays. Placement in ECE is much more satisfactory. The average package for ECE is 18 lakh.

Campus Life

4

You have a lot of opportunities here for enjoyment as well as developing your skills through clubs and events. But you have to manage academics. Since ECE is tough then you have to work hard as well as smart. We have 2 main fests, a tech fest named TechnoZian and an annual fest as Spring Spree. The library here is named Central Library and is enough big. All the academic books are available. Also, few fiction and novels are also available. Coming to the classroom, for self-study, I choose the classroom. It is really a very peaceful place. I think better than a library. The college provides a lot of sports and extracurricular activities. There is one Physical Education Department for gym and indoor games. For outdoor games, there is a separate playground for each game. There are a lot of clubs are there in this college. You will get all types of clubs. Literature, tech, value education, music, dance, etc.

Admission

If a candidate has passed 12th with the CBSE board, he/she must have a 75+ percentage in 12th. For state boards, it varies from state to state. NTA or CBSE conducts JoSAA counseling for admission. This college has reservation benefits as per the central government reservation rule.
