Course Curriculum Overview

B. Pharmacy has great scope in the future. It is seen during the Covid-19 pandemic, Pharmacy played an unforgettable role in serving the nation. There is 100 seat for each batch and the Faculties are mostly Ph.D. graduates. Exams are scheduled every month for both theory and practical.

Placement Experience

1st batch of pharmacy students is going to pass out this academic year (2023). The Placement Cell is going to approach the industries to come into college this year. As the JSS Mysore and JSS ootty are well well known for placements. It is expected for getting a good response from JSS Noida also.

Fees and Financial Aid

For 1st year students, the fee is Rs 132350 including the security fee, and afterward Rs 124000 for the next three years. The scholarship is given by the UP Government every year. Pharmaceutical companies come every for providing jobs.

Campus Life

Societies are formed by the college students themselves. These societies organize their fest at different times. They organize recruitment also separately. Some societies in our college are Cygnus, Illuminati, zelicon, etc. Books are available in the library.

Admission

College offers 85% of admissions via UPSEE and counseling and 15% via direct admission. Bachelor of Pharmacy Admissions is offered based on UPSEE. The Student must have passed 10+2 with PCM/PCB/PCMB.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In current scenarios b pharma is one of the best option to pursue carrier for becoming drug inspector or pharmacist. The frequency of exam is after every 3 months we have to give sessional exams followed by annual exams ( theory + practicals).

Decent College with Average Facilities and Opportunities

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are average, not very high but some companies do visit every year. Students become eligible for placements from final year, mostly from 7th or 8th semester. Companies are not very big mostly local or mid level pharma companies come. Some roles offered are like production, quality control and marketing. Highest package is not very high, around 3-4 LPA and average package is around 2-2.5 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is not very high, maybe around 40-50% approx. Many students prefer to go for higher studies or try off campus jobs. My plan after completing degree is to look for job in pharma field or maybe go for higher studies depending on opportunity. Overall placement is okay but needs improvement.

Simple College with Average Opportunities

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is average, not very high but also not too bad. Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Some companies visit the college but not many big companies comes regularly. Companies like small pharma companies and local companies visit and offer roles like production, quality control and sales. The highest package is around 3–4 LPA and average package is about 2–2.5 LPA. Number of offers is also limited and not all students get placed. Around 30-40% students get placement from campus, rest students have to search job on their own or go for higher studies. College gives some support but not very strong placement help. Because of this, many students including me are planning for higher studies or preparing for competitive exams to get better opportunities. Overall placement is okay but need improvement.
