Admission in top college gives you great experience

I have chosen this course because it is a circuital branch where all companies will be opened for circuital branches. There are a total of 125 students in the branch with 18 faculty members. All the faculty have a minimum qualification of a Ph.D. and have good knowledge of the subject. In a semester each subject has 3 major exams(including 2 minor exams and 1 end sem) and 2 assignments.

Internships will start from the 5th sem and go on until the 6th semester. Many companies like Google, Uber, DE Shaw, Oracle, etc. came for interns with an average intern stipend of around 30k per month. The projects and work in internship depend on the company and the domain they work.

From the 7th semester, students are eligible to sit for placements. There are around 160 companies visited till now and placements go till May. The highest package offer was 53L CTC by AWS and the lowest was 6L. Till now around 90% of students got placed. I got placed in an MNC and planning to continue the job for 2 years.

It takes around 8-9L of the total cost for general students to study for 4 years. There are many scholarships for students. Our college has a very good placements record having an average package of 13L+ and companies come for internships during 3rd year which has the highest stipend of 1.6L per month.

Our college has 3 fests, Pragyan which is a technical fest popular in South India, Festember a cultural fest and Nittfest a fest where competitions are conducted between branches. There is a very big central library available which has all the books and journals. Grounds for all sports are available and will be open all the time. There are around 20 clubs that are run only by students and include all the technical, cultural, etc.

All hostels are 2 bedded and have all the required facilities. The quality of food provided in the mess is good and provides non-veg for 2 times a week. Registration for a hostel is done at the same time as admission. I am a hosteller and live in the hostel.

Admission for NITs is through JEE Mains exam. Anyone who wrote JEE Mains can apply for this counseling through JOSAA counseling. JOSAA counseling has 6 rounds if you are allotted with any college you need to pay 35k for the reservation of a seat. All NITs have some joining date and almost the same fees which are given on their websites. SC/ST students have no tuition fee and only pay hostel fees, OBS students pay 50% of the fees.
