Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very detailed and efficient. There are various project works and assignments and research that goes into learning psychology. The professors were very knowledgeable and understanding. They were efficient in terms of explaining deep concepts as well. There are two term exams which are of moderate difficulty level if you continue to study throughout the year.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are present for almost all courses, less for ba courses however. There were many projects throughout the course however, including social projects where we had to circulate google forms and evaluate results.
Placement Experience
The placements at sharda are fine, not too good. Students sit in placements in final and pre final years. The average package is around 8-10lpa. The placement percentage is good, a lot of people do get placed after their degree here. Highest packages can go upto 18-20lpa depending on your hard work and skill set. Min lpa was about 6.5lpa. My plans weren't for placement from sharda. I had my own startup and business plans.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not qualify for scholarships in general due to having a decent family annual income. However in my opinion the fee structure is a little bit harsh. It's quite a good amount, varying from 1.2-1.6lacs per year, without availing any hostel/accommodation facilities. Affordability is high, however there are also a huge amount of facilities/sports in the campus which one should enjoy. The lecture halls are all centralized ac which should also hike up the fee. Affordability might get difficult, but it's a little worth it.
Campus Life
Campus life is pretty great here. There are various amenities on campus, all kinds of sports basketball football table tennis and such are available. The campus area is huge and very aesthetic. People might have noticed our campus in a few movies, such is the architecture and infrastructure of sharda. Fests here also happen on a big scale, a Freshers event happens each year in the beginning of the academic year, which was called 'Neo fest' in acad year 2022. The other major fest here is called Chorus, where many famous music celebrities come and perform. It happens in the middle of year, in autumn in general. There are many social clubs and societies ranging from literary and debate to music dance and other performance arts. The classrooms are also great fully equipped with all amenities like smart boards and projector, also being air conditioned for the hot delhi-ncr weather. Overall, campus life is one of the best parts of Sharda.
Admission
The admission process into Sharda University wasn't as vigorous in terms of cut off. There was a minimum cut off of 50% in boards class 12 and age requirement of minimum 17 years old. After that we had to apply for and give the entrance test which is called SUAT. This is typically held in/around May. The entrance is not too difficult, and the cut offs usually aren't very high. After clearing this, if required there's a personal interview.
