Dislikes
- The uniform rules and regulations like seriously they fine 500 for it .
- They fake reputation that they try to make and credit eating habits of administration.
- The college often takes credit of students who have passed and cracked open hackathon and adds it in there report.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to pursue some courses that had wide scope but that much core coding. So ECE was my good-to-go course. The faculty to students is such that 2 batches study in the same class throughout 1 and 2 years so it remains 40-50:1. Mostly they have faculty who have done MTech or PHD from IITs but not bachelor's, and some faculty are from international colleges also. The exams happen 3 times a semester. 1st after 1.5 months of start of semester, 2nd after 2.5 and 3rd after 3.5. the time after the start of the semester is the peaceful one other than its all hustle day and night. Too much academic pressure.
Internships Opportunities
Hardly 5-10 companies visited for internship opportunities and many or most students did not even get a chance to apply for the internship. Also, the college did not tell you that there is a specialization certificate in your own core field that you get after completing certain courses in a certain semester of your own domain.
Placement Experience
This is the only thing that is good and can be praised. The placement. Many good and reputed companies came and offered packages of more than 6 lpa mostly and 95% pf cse and ece students are placed. With avg of 7-7.5lpa. highest 65 Atlassian and lowest cognizant 3lpa. 10 offers above 25 lpa and 4-5 between 20-25.
Fees and Financial Aid
The free structure is 90k-1L tuition, 30k+ development and the rest they'll impose 10 types of fine. They hike fees regularly and their portal never fails when collecting money but on the day of the result or seating arrangement, it goes down.
Campus Life
The last fest happened in 2020 Feb just before covid and after that, they were not giving the annual charges after declaring that the fest won't happen this year fest is happening in march in both the 128 and 62 campuses 1 week apart.
Admission
The admission process was so quick they didn't want the parents to stay with the child through out the admission and focus on getting the child to agree and take admission. I found the application notification from a newspaper and a reference from a family relative since Jaypee had a good placement record and NIRF ranking in 2018 in the top 100 universities I guess. After admission they involve parent in each and every process so that could be improved.
