Its IITD , what else you want .

I chose Engineering physics because it was the only suitable one among the other choices i had based on my rank in advanced The faculaty student ratio at IITD may be 1:13. All the faculty at IITD are highely qualified and sometimes looking at their qulaifications may giev you goosebumps . At IIT we have labs and classes which are highly advanced .The teaching method is nice but the 75 % attendance criteria is not supported by me . One thing which may never stop at IITD are exams . whatever happens exams will happen at proper time .Due to so talented students the Profs have to amek the question papers a bit tough So one can say that its difficult to get a good grade but for passing a 30 % is enough which is doable .

Its IITD , so basically all the major player come here to hire interns . One can get internship in second and third year , mostly internships provided are for coding , ui/ux and management The OCS is responsible for all the palcements and internships and you can get all the details at their site Also you can work under professors if you want to .

students become eligible for placements in fourth year which means 7th semester. Being an IIT there is a certain reputation so all the the big companies come here to recruit students . The CS people are the ones usually who get the highest package ehich is around 1 crore The average of electrical branches like MnC,CS etc is 40 lakhs All the other banches have an average if around 15-20 lakhs pa Almost all students are placed and the ones who dont get placed are those who dont sit for placements in order to pursue higher education

For general folks the fees is usually 1,5 laks per semsester. and theres are 2 sems per year . the fees remains the same throughout btech additionally there are hostel charges and mess fees For category students the tution fees is zero so basically they have to pay around 15 k per semester. There are a number of scholarships one get on the basis of family income and merit

Our annual fest is RENDEZVOUS and our tech fest is the TRYST for which the dates are not fixed.In 2023 both these festivals occured between 4 to 12 march . In 2022 these fest happened in april . The library at IIT has all the books you need . One can issue books and also get ebooks.During the majors half of the campus can be seen in library preparing for exams the classed have well furnihed wooden tables and chairs , projector ,speakers and AC, all that you need for lectures .also you can charge laptops in the power outputs in classses . The sports and ECA happen throughout the year . There is inter iit where basically all iits compete .then there is GC where all the hostels of IITD compete.Then there is group dance competition .Also we have BRCA competition which is basically a ECA competion . ther are many clubs and groups at IITD which are run by students mostly .we have robotics , accelerator , hyperloop,music , dance , debating etc clubs which one may join if interested.

In the first yeara i had a single room for myself due to COVID .You get a table ,chair and shoerack .The room has fan , almirah and a book shelf. there are two power outlets and and a LAN outlet .Also there are WIFI in every room. The toilets are joint and are cleaned by QUESS. The food one gets here is so good .Everyday is a different meal and the menu is changed every month in a meeting which is hosted by mess secretary .Even if you dont like a food for a specific fay ther are night messes where one gets food at cheap rates Once you are selected in IIT you have to apply for hostel and pay the required fees. Then you are given a hostel . The hostel fees is low but in my view the mess fees is a bit high .For GIRNAR hostel its around 30k per semester Around IITD there is Jia and Katwaria Sarai.

For BTECH in IITD one needs to qualify JEE mains and advanced and get 75 % in boards.Depending on rank in advanced you get the branch in IITD The whole admisson process for mains is done by NTA , and advanced is conducted by IITs.One has to pay registrations fees and then register in NTAs website. the dates for exams aren't fixed and are realesed by NTA and organising IIT during the year . On qualifying advanced you sit for seat allotment where on the basis of your priority order and qulification you are given a collge . Being from ST community I was able to avail the benefit of reservations which was able to provide me lower cutoffs for admission.It also decreses the fees i ahve to pay since there is no tuition fees. The admission process is ok but the students dont have the knowledge about forms and certificates which should be provided by organisers.
