Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to do btech and according to my rank this was my best possible option. Faculty student ratio i dont have exact idea but everything is well taken care of. All faculties are PHD qualified ,teaching is good . Exams are held thrice every semester namely T1 ,T2,T3 T1 and T2 are of 20 marks each T3 or end semester is of 35 marks the remaining 25/100 are given on basis of internal assessment and attendance and other projects. To pass in a subject only 15 marks are required from total 75 (t1 , t2 , t3).
Placement Experience
students are eligible from 3rd year for campus placements. as a fresher I dont have much idea about which companies visit but many students have been placed in amazon, adobe, intuit etc. The highest package this year was 1 cr off campus and 45 lpa on campus Placement percentange is almost 90%. I plan to get placed in a MNC at a good package after i get my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is quite expensive . Fees is around 2.5 lakh per year and hostel charges are 2 lakh per year making the total expenditure around 5 lakh per year. The hostels dont do justice to the amount of money being charged. The campus is very small and no fest is organised. Overall no college life or cultural activites , it's basically like a school.
Campus Life
Annual fests are Converge and Impressions, considering the very small campus there is not enough space to conduct any big events. The fest this year is limited to only college students , no other colleges are allowed which is very frustrating. There are many clubs like panache- fashion society , Nrityang and vamunique -dance societies , Debsoc - debating society ,Cinekala-the film making society.. All socities and clubs include very talents memebers , exceptional dancers but our college gives zero funds for costumes and other props. If we have to go to other colleges to perform , our college never funds anything , the societies are not able to function properly due to lack of funds . There is no sports activites in sector 62 campus as it is very small and there is no field , all sports related activites are conducted in sector 128 campus. The classrooms are good with centralised Ac , projectors and benches , obviously not as good as compared to the IIT's but okayish.
Hostel Facilities
There are only two seater rooms with a table , bed , one almirah for both students. There is no flooring although the maids come twice everyday for cleaning there are 2 washrooms shared by 16 girls and are mostly clean and well maintained. The rooms have centralised Ac The mess food is very nicr with variety of menu and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food quality is very nice . Hostels are alloted by visiting the administration office or filling the form at the time of counselling.
Admission
Eligibility for BTECH IS PCM APPLICATION FORM IS RELEASED AFTER BOARD EXAMS EVERY YEAR ON OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF JIIT Admission to JIIT is based on 12th marks / JEE MAIN RANK. 75% seats are reserved for JEE and 25% for boards. I applied through jee mains my AIR WAS 85523 I filled the form available on college website and paid 1200 rs for the same. Then after my mains exam the college mailed me for counselling . The counselling was conducted and seats were allotted on basis of JEE RANK. I feel admission process must be solely based on JEE MAINS and no entries should be accepted via boards ,as there is way to much difference between a jee and a board student .
