Likes
- The faculty in first year is really great and in fact better than most of the colleges of AKTU
- Fees is reasonable for the course considering other colleges end up on a higher slab
- If you have the zeal to learn and find some students who are same then you can do wonders.
Dislikes
- Placements in ABESIT are not good and most people have to depend on off campus placements
- Course curriculum is not good and mostly focuses on marks
- Faculty is not supportive and sports facilities are absolutely zero.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college is affiliated with AKTU so there isn't much to expect from the curriculum instead it is best to follow industry trends and start preparing for placements as early as possible because college won't be helping you in placements. Number of exams is okayish considering the course. And faculty is not that good and they'll focus on you passing the exams rather than learning things. Finally, they expect you to build projects on techs that hadn't been taught in the whole course.
Placement Experience
From the 7th sem students become eligible for placements but very few companies come for developer profiles. Placement is not good and students have to mostly depend on off-campus placements. The average package is 3.5 - 4 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are decent compared to other colleges and you'll get a scholarship from the UP government if your family's annual income is less than 2 lakhs. Companies arriving on campus are not good and you have to depend fully on off-campus placements if you want to end up in a good company. There is no concept of internships in ABESIT.
Campus Life
The annual fest, i.e. Festin-o-beats, is conducted in the month of October which is like DPS school's annual day function. No celebrities come here and the fest ends before sunset lol. No sports and games for students. Even the cricket ground inside the campus is not for students. Extracurricular activities include some small events or singing dancing and hackathons. The library is just decent. Finally, the benches in classrooms are not comfortable to sit on.
Admission
It's really easy to get admission in this college even if you have a really low percentage in 12th boards. The major drawback of this admission process is that your peers won't be much interested in studying and the environment wouldn't be that competitive.
