- Attendance Criteria 75% is mandatory and enforced via detaining students in the internal exams
- Internal Exam schedule is not given to students early. It is provided only a week sometimes days before
- There is less well defined time organisation for annual exams that are conducted by AKTU although that may change with JSS becoming independent
Course Curriculum Overview
B.Tech CSE was chosen by me since I am passionate about computer technology and its scope in the future. The student faculty ratio is decent for the college altough many professors do tech multiple subjects sometimes. The Faculty have good qualification and some are very knowledgeable most have good teaching methods as well utlising presentations and codes to teach. Term Exams were a bit delayed due to COVID regualtions in Uttar Pradesh but now all the lost time has been caught up with. The exams are fairly simple to pass with proper preparation even strarting 1 month before
Fees and Financial Aid
There has been very minimal fee hikes associated with the college and the cost to study is very well priced at just 5.5L for entire B.Tech 4 years. There are many government approved scholarships available for students and faculty are able to help in the process as well. Placements are decent with many opting to sit for on campus palcements but major high packages are available off-campus only.
Campus Life
There is no separate annual tech fest in JSS Noida. The annual Fest is "Zealicon" and it takes place around April and is the largest fest organised by the college socities. It is a decent fest which goes for 3-4 days with dj night at the end. All the books that can be required by the student are available in the library. It ranges from tech to newsletters to general affairs as well. Classroom has projectors and are often used by techers for teaching purposes. There are various sports activities and clubs for eg- Chess, Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Kabbadi, etc. The extra curricular activites are there and provided by these sports clubs and also the other societies and event they organise for the students. JSS connect is a recently launched initiative run by students and also all socities and clubs organise their own social media handles
Admission
The eligibilty for the course is 10+2 in Science stream. Initally at my time the admission was via UPSEE exam but that has been discontinued and replaced with admission via JEE main score 95+ Percentile is enough to have admission in JSS B.Tech CSE There are multiple reservation categories for students to avail The imporvement was done in admission via JEE as the students would not need to give more and more exams fore admission.
