Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the Computer Science Engineering department as it has more scope in the coming future. The course curriculum is pretty backward compared to the current technology updates. Some subjects are irrelevant to CSE even in 3-2 semesters. The faculty here need more experience and knowledge. We do not have faculty for a few subjects. There is a scarcity of faculty in our department.
Placement Experience
All the students that have a minimum percentage of 6.5 with not more than 2 backlogs have a chance to attend the placements drive. The students can attend drives for 3-2 semesters. Around 150 companies visit our campus per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is 97000 per one academic year. I haven't applied for any scholarship, or any financial assistance. Our campus placements hadn't started yet. Around 150 companies visited our campus for placement drives for our seniors.
Campus Life
We only have one fest per academic year which is held in December -The Brumous, Fiesta. There are also several inter-college sports meetings. The library does have many books on recent technologies. The lab has many non-working computers. And all the computers are not updated.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are quite decent. The rooms are cleaned regularly. While the mess food is not so great. There is a shortage of accommodation for students and therefore there are constructions going on for more blocks of hostels.
Admission
I got into the college via EAMCET which is a state-wide competitive exam. According to the available seats I got a seat in GNIT. I could directly apply for the college using the TSBIE website and pay the tuition fee. After confirmation, I had to come to the college and submit my certificates.
