A Complete Package

College Management is good but they certainly need to develop and make them competent enough in this market for remaining relevant and I am sure they might be doing that.

I gave MP Pre Engineering Test in 2012 to get into a college of Madhya Pradesh State. I socred 70/200 and wanted to opt for Civil Engineering Branch. I wanted to take a Government College but did not had the figure. I also was firmed to study Civil Engineering and therefore analysed the colleges which were best for the same. I ended up with 2 names a. Samrat Ashoka Technological Institute, Vidisha. b. Truba Institute of Engineering and Information Technology, Bhopal. Since Truba had the maximum faculty from SATI Vidisha and SGSITS Indore in Civil Engineering Department that became a deliberate choice because SATI Civil Engineering Branch was available at 110 numbers in MPPET.

I would say course curricula is 5/10 because many a things has to be improved at the University Level. The course structure is same as issued by the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal. The point of importance is the faculty and delivery of the same subject with effect. This also forms a ground for research. Obviously the research environment is not comparable with the Institutes of National Importance but the major aspect is of exposure which is certainly provided by this institute.

Yes, In the 3rd year of study we were supposed to do a minor project and internship. In which students usually study software courses like AutoCad, Staad Pro, Prima Viera as choosen by the student. In the final year along with major Project one is required to work with a company on live project to get a wholesome knowledge of Design and Execution of a Civil Engineering Project.

I passed out in 2016, this was a time for slow down in the Construction industry followed by demonetization so our batch was much affected at the placement particularly in the Civil Engineering Department. However the college managed with 3 companies, 2 of Bhopal 1 of Gurgaon. Total 13 students were placed out of 80 with an average package of 1.8lac per annum.

Truba Youth Fest (Cultural & Sports) Truba Natioanl Level Symposium (Research Paper Discussuion) Truba Technicala ( Technical model and paper presentation.College level only) Nation Service Scheme ( NSS) Bhopal Wing. The most famous event of Bhopal among Engineering colleges is Truba Youth Fest. Which is know for its wonderful and amazing performances. This is a inter college 5 day event where first 3 day are for sports tournaments of Cricket, Volleyball, BasketBall, KhoKho, Athletics and Badminton. The next 2 days are for cultural performances like Dance, Singing, Anchoring, Painting, Art, Drama, fete etc. This enhances the overall participation of the students and groom them overall. National Symposium invites the best people in technical field to discuss about their research and understanding the research atmosphere of the country. Once in ever 5 years Truba also organizes an International symposium, I witnessed one in which researchers from Denmark put forward their research in the Aerodynamics of Wind Turbine.

It is flexible comparatively to what the colleges offer in MP. My fee was 69,000 in first year and 80,000 in the final year. This includes all the expenses of Admission, Academic and Bus. Some of my friends have payed even 130,000 INR per annum for the same courses in different colleges. The fee structure was like: Tuition Fee 55000 Registration and Admission 2000 Bus Fee 10000 Other 2000 And after the 1st year tuition fee saw hike and the amount reached to 80,000 in final year 2016.

Yes I myself took an education loan for my Engineering studies. It is easy you only need to submit the income certificate of your father and other documents with it, right now there are many Central and State Government schemes which provide a greater cushion and support for students. I also happened to get 24000 INR as scholarship during those 4 years for my performance in the academics. Since I was a topper of my branch college assisted me a lot financially.

These 4 years of my life were major learning and most enriching. I got to know many talented and dynamic persons who shaped my personalities in many ways. Gender ration was good overall EC and CS branch had more girls than Boys. However Mechanical and CIvil Branch usually have less girl to boy ratio and so it was. About Extra curricular, sports, labs and other technical field I already described this college stand out in Bhopal.

Our college does not provide hostel facilities. However one can easily find many hostels in the Bhopal near by college. One can choose in which type of room he wants to live. It can be a sinle bed, double bed. This costs about 5000 a month in Bhopal. A student can decently live in sharing mode, paying about 3500 per head a month.

There is an alumni network and it is of much help. We are all connected on facebook and whatss app groups. The help is mainly in the form of Job seeking and any appointment. If one have a vacancy in his/her company the same is shared between us. Even senior-junior living in the same city can be seen hanging out on weekends. It has become a family thing.

The college follows semester pattern of exam and there are 2 semester in a year. One semester if of roughly 5 months and in those 5 months about 5 subjects are to be studied. Along with the projects, assignments, visits and Presentations. In the exam there exist 2 Mid sem exams before the final exam of semester and Practical Exams know as Internal and External. Internals are taken by the college faculty and External exams are taken by a faculty from University which gives the credit mark reflected broadly in your practical marks.

Admission process was simple, I was allotted TIEIT with the repective branch of Civil Engineering by MPPET. The guidelines for the admission through counselling, were issued in the same letter of allotment. I went to the college with appropriate documents as described in the guidelines. There were about 14 college staff assisting for the admission at different levels and procedures. a. You very the document in the fist place. b. Verification of the allotment letter and Branch. c. They made a file and gave a full fledge application form to be filled by me and in that these were many places my parents were to be signed as specified. d. Fill the prescribed fee. e. Admission is done, Congrats.

I would asses faculties 8/10 in the college. This is the strong point of Truba because they have hired a range of faculty with Phd. in different branch of Civil Engineering. Also the minimum qualified faculty has an M.Tech. All the Head of the Departments holds a Phd in their respective subject of specialization with minimum of about 10 years of experience in teaching and research.
