- Small land area of the college , sometimes it does hurt when you see college like DTU , NSUT
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is the same as any tier-3 engineering college would provide, 1st year you will only have one Cs-related subject rest are from the STEM branch, EG, Manufacturing, yada yada, and from 2nd year onwards they start teaching branch-wise subjects. The faculty is okayish... Typical Indian professors and assistant staff, this year I gave my 1st offline end-term exams, and they were moderately difficult, if you study consistently you'll score well otherwise you can still clear those exams if you start a month earlier before the exams commence.
Placement Experience
They do provide placement offers, well not as good as any other Tier 1 tier 2 colleges but if you put in hard work they will help you too in getting placed, amazon takes the exam on the university level and then the ones who clear those exams are able to sit in their interviews, else many startups and companies do offer decent packages like Travclan(10lpa), ZS Associates(8lpa)... The lowest package from mass recruiters is 3-4 lpa sometimes few totally stupid students even take 2lpa 90-95% of CS/IT/ECE branch gets placed Well, I'm also looking to take my studies seriously now, my 4th sem has just started, so I need to build my skills so that I could sit in the on-campus placements...
Fees and Financial Aid
I do not know correctly but the 2021 placements were pretty good, hence there is a hike in fees but I do not know the exact number. yeah you get the Merit cum means scholarship from Delhi if you fall into the category, there is also a scholarship from the university itself but its very hard to avail, they will call you into the main campus and check you in person if you really need scholarship
Campus Life
The colleges under GGSIPU do not cover a lot of ground areas that's for sure, but recently my college had its fest after 2019 and it was a huge success. books can be availed from the library, trials for sports do happen if you're interested, dance clubs, technical societies and others do exist.
Admission
Admission into B.tech programs was through JEE Mains, for outside students generally decent ranks are required for the CS related courses, like for me in 2021 it was in the sliding round that I got CS with a rank of 63926 in Mains into Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology ( it comes under the top 5 colleges under GGSIPU) and in the year 2022 as well the ranks were somewhere around 50-60k in the 3rd round to get into this college, while for delhi students there can be a difference of 40-50k rank for the same course ... reservations do exist like SC/ST/EWS and OBC but I was a general If you're an OBC from outside delhi you will not be getting any sort of reservation...
