Course Curriculum Overview
I was aiming for the Computer Science branch. Since my rank was below the cut-off marks, therefore I got electronics and communication engineering. Though there are limited branches in our Institute and majorly all the companies allow all branches students to sit in placement. Faculties are sufficient and all of them are PHD holders. This shows that they have perfect knowledge of their subjects. Each semester we have a mid-term and an end sem exam. These are not difficult as teachers help till the last night of exam day.
Internships Opportunities
In the year 2021, the placement cell started providing internship opportunities to 3rd-year students. But here's a cache, these opportunities are mainly for IT and computer-related fields so you have to be good at coding and programming.
Placement Experience
As the 3rd year ends and 7th semester starts, companies start visiting our campus for placement. The average package is around 7.5LPA. Most of the students get placed and the remaining ones opt for higher education. My plan is basically to get placed after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee seems to hike up by a huge margin recently. But students do not need to worry as there are much financial assistance and scholarship available. One such good scholarship for both inside and outside delhi students is merit cum means scholarship which can provide students with 100% tuition fees.
Campus Life
After COVID 19 we had our annual fest "MALHAAR" people can check out on the college website and on YouTube. It was conducted in the month of November The library is very well organized and fully air-conditioned with good furniture and motivating pictures. Classrooms are well structured and clean on the daily basis. We have a sports ground covering the major area of campus with sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, etc. There are different technical and cultural clubs with international-level exposure such as #define, Newton school coding club, Maverics, Aavaran, etc.
Admission
I was admitted to this college through my JEE mains rank. As I was an outside delhi student, therefore I didn't receive any reservation benefit. My rank was 120k The application form is available at ggsipu official website after the commencement of JEE advance. Students are requested to update themselves from that website.
