Course Curriculum Overview
First-year courses are the same for all students. It includes Maths, English, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Drawing and laboratory courses. Then starts your branch-specific courses. Faculty members are quite good and will help at any moment you ask to them
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are also ample. You can get to finance vertical, consultancy, tech etc. However, you have to maintain your cgpa and should be good in the areas in which you are applying for the internship.
Placement Experience
The placement offers are the best at IIT and especially at IIT DELHI. There are around 50-plus students who get placement offers over 1 CR every year. The average can account for 30 to 35 lacs per year which is a decent figure.
Fees and Financial Aid
When it comes to fees, for general students the tuition fee is around 1 lac per semester. Other institute fees can get to 15,000 per semester while hostel fees can get to 40,000 per semester. For SC/ ST students, the tuition fee is 0. You have an ample number of scholarships to avail of if you want.
Campus Life
Life is the best that one can expect in college. There are many clubs like debating, quizzing, dance, music etc. There are many types of fests like cultural fests, tech fests etc. Many competitions also occur. People are quite helpful.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are old so you cannot expect an air conditioner in the rooms. However, the cleanliness is decent. One can say that for a student the hostels are up to the mark. There are around 13 to 14 boys' hostels and 3 to 4 girls' hostels.
Admission
You have to give Jee mains and then Jee advanced exam and secure a very good rank to get a seat in IIT DELHI. An AIR under 5000 can secure your civil engineering seat at IIT DELHI. For SC students, getting a category rank under 700 or 650 for the safer side can give you a seat in civil engineering at IIT Delhi.
