Best college for commerce

First i was not ready because this is a boys and morning college, but my father forced me to goto the college but just after 2 weeks i realized that my father was absolutely right. Being in this college is really worhty.

I didn't take any entrance exam since it doesn't require any exam. I scored 88% in 12th. I opt for this particular college because it is one of the best college for B.Com course, the faculty of this college is superb. The way the professors deliver the lectures is outstanding.

The B.com course is divided in 1+1+1 year course. In 1st year all the papers are general, in 2nd and 3rd year there are four honours papers along with 2 general papers. In these 3 years course a student builds a huge knowledge about the whole accounting system, including the business law and business maths.

Many colleges provide internship which is very interesting but No my college does not provide any internship. But it is planning to start this internship.

At the end of the 3rd year many companies visit the college campus for selecting the deserving students. Emami, Wipro, TATA, Punjab Banks, ICICI visited last year with minimum requirement of 55% in the b.com course. The all offered minimum 1 l.4acs p.a package.

All the events are organized and managed by the Umeschandra student's union. There are lots of events celebrated in our college, including Teacher's day, Saraswati Puja, Indpendence Day, Iftar party. The college also organize Freshers party for the new students and an Annual function is held in every year named UMANG.

As this college is Government funded college so it is very less expensive unlike private college. The admission fees for the 1st year was 3800 ,in 2nd year it was 4800 and in 3rd year it is 5400. This all includes tuition fees, maintenance fees etc. At the time of examination the college charges 500 as examination fees.

Though my college doesn't provie any scholarship but it provides tuition fees concession and Railway fare concession for deserving students.

Beside from studies this college also provide huge opportunities for sports, it always organise sports events and competition ,it also holds Annual sport's day in which there are lots of sports events. Blood donation camps, book distribution are also organised by the college.

There is no hostel facility available in this college, there are few students who belong to other cities like Durgapur, Dankuni etc. They live in the PG which is just few metres far from the college campus. They charge monthly 2500 for single room,they offer food also, for that they have another rate according to the food.

The Alumni network and the senior students are really helpful, not even a pinch of ragging is found in the college campus, all the students from different religions study here, you wil see a great harmony amongst the students despite being from different religions.

As the course is divided in 3 years (1+1+1) course so the college take 1 mid term exams in each year and 1 final exam for that year at the end of the year. Beside this class test are on regular basis. And lab works are also in regular basis. Many professors take class test in every 2nd week or at the end of every 2nd chapter.

To get admission in this college first i filled the admission form which was available on the college's website, i entered all of my academic details, after 2 weeks the college administration released the merit list, after finding my name in the list i got a form along with admission fees challan, then the college asked me to visit the college campus for document verifications, after successful verification of documents i got my self to the bank and then i paid the admission fees through SBI, the college again called me to allot me the roll no. and prospectus of the college.

One of the best part of this college is its faculty. All the professors are well qualified, they dont only have the knowledge but they also know how to teach. The friendly behavior of the professors makes the student comfortable and remove the hesitation m asking any question. Ni matter how many time you a question the professors will always reply positively without getting irritate. One processor even gave his contact number and told us that whenever we need any help in studies we can contsct him anytime without any hesitation.
