Life At Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology

I chose Information Technology as my course because it has a very good scope for the future. A lot of companies require employees with technological knowledge so the IT branch will definitely provide an edge in that. The faculty of my course is very good. They're all very experienced and helpful teachers. The faculty : student ratio is around 1:60. Exams are held twice every semester, a mid-semester examination and an end-semester examination. The exams are easy to moderate in difficulty depending on your preparation.

Students become eligible for campus placements after completing their 6th semester. A lot of companies visit the campus for placements. Some of them include Amazon, Commvault, Zomato, Mobikwik, etc. A total of 490 offers were made. The highest package of 41.86 LPA was offered by Microsoft off-campus and a package of 30.25 LPA was offered by Amazon on-campus. I plan to try for both on-campus and off-campus placements after getting the degree.

The course fee for first-year students in 2022 was Rs 1,70,000 and from the second year onward, the fee was Rs 1,18,800 in 2021. If you come under the EWS category, there are some scholarships from the Delhi government that you can avail of. These are also available for other categories. As such no campus jobs are available.

MALHAAR, the tech fest of BPIT was conducted in November last year, also ANUGOONJ, the cultural fest of IPU was conducted in March with many big celebrities as guests. The college has a pretty well-maintained library with a variety of books and journals and a cozy and quiet environment. The classrooms are built more like a school, but they are pretty spacious and comfortable. Air Conditioners are not available in the classrooms yet but they'll probably be added in the future. There is a pretty big ground on the campus along with a basketball and volleyball court. The university sports meet was conducted in January. There are many social groups and clubs run by the students to help out the students with studies, placements, entrepreneurship, etc.

The admission process was very smooth. I got admission on the basis of my rank in JEE Mains. The whole counseling process was held online in the form of multiple rounds. I had to visit the college only once after the counseling to freeze my allotted seat and document verification. I had to pay Rs2200 (non-refundable) for enrollment in the counseling and Rs40000 to freeze the seat which was later deducted from the college fee. The application forms are available soon after the announcement of JEE Mains result on the official website of Indraprastha University.
