Course Curriculum Overview
I am interested in electrical engineering. And another factor is my rank also as I wanted computer science engineering. There are 13 faculties for different subjects and 90 students in our class. The communication skills teacher is a gold medalist and there are also so many very well-graduated from IITs. Every teacher is very good and doing hard work for us but there are also some teachers like for physics the professor is now aged that's why they are not able to teach us well.
Internships Opportunities
Students can avail of 6-month internships in either an industry or a research laboratory strictly through Institute Training and Placement cell. Only those students who are selected through campus will be permitted to undergo six months internship. For solving challenges of science, engineering and technological projects are there.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Approx every company visited our college for placement like Google, Microsoft, Tata etc. The highest package of NIT Raipur is 57 lakh and the average package is 10.1 lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for different stages of annual income has different annual fee structures for income less than 1lakh it is 15600 annually for more than 1lakh to 5 lacs 57267 for more than 5 lakhs 140600. I cost 15600 because I Belong to less than 1 lakh income. I was offered a scholarship program named Foundation for Excellence (FEE). On which I got 40000 for 1 year.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good I experienced it very well. There are so many fests happening one is Eclectica conducted by Sanskriti Committee, Tech fest named Avartan and so many other fests conducted by different clubs and committees. The infrastructure of the college is not so much good but it's enough as it was built for GEC Raipur. But later on in 2004, it was named nit raipur.
Hostel Facilities
I am residing in the Hostel of my college. In the hostel, every required facility is there. There are 4 hostels for 1st year. Mine is hostel F ( kotumsar). Hostel f is a 2-floor building on which the ground floor has there own mess. The meal quality of our mess is very much good and better than all other hostels and messes. The registration process for a hostel is to fill out the form for the hostel after this there will be a list from which we have been given our hostel.
Admission
The admission process of NIT Raipur is based on the entrance exam called Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains). I got OBC rank 14911 on JEE Mains, after result we need to fill out the form for JOSAA (Joint seat allocation authority) there are 6 rounds for seat allotment on which the opening rank for home state and OBC quota for electrical engineering is 13393 and the closing rank is 17068. After JOSAA there is another seat allotment authority named CSAB which is for the seat left in JOSAA round. After all these rounds I got into electrical engineering at NIT Raipur. Here I availed two reservations one is home state quota and the other is caste reservation. After all this, we have to reach the college for physical verification on the given date.
