Mixed experience at LJIET

College management is i think worst thing about college. There is no proper planning of anything. Sometimes things get not resolved after many complaints. Higher management makes rules not thinking about actual conditions. Overall, college is good for me because it is good for every student who wants to study seriously; all teaching staff is nice including Head of department, faculties.

I appeared for my 12th science examination and a exam named GUJCET for the admission process. I have scored 70% in my 12th science and 40 marks in GUJCET. The reason why i choose this particular college is 1. The best college which suits my score and my branch 2. This college is near to my home compared to others. 3. Also heard some good reviews on internet and from friends.

The course curriculum of our university is not so good. They put most of their importance to only theory portion. Only a little importance to practicals and lab work. For every course update, they keep making course easier and easier. Their is very little information provided by the faculty members of latest technology and research.

My college actually does not provided any internship program. Instead of internship; college arrange a industrial visit once per semester to any mechanical industry or workshop.

The placement at my college was not so good. 5-8 companies were came for the placement. Some of their names are videocon, chiripal industries. They provide about 1.5-3 LPA. About 20 students were placed out of 180 students. Placement at college is good compared to other self financed colleges and bad compared to government engineering colleges.

Innovation village: In this event, college selects best projects from every discipline, every semester and class and present them to everyone like science fair. Lumina: this is a cultural fest of our college. students participate in various activities like singing, dancing and much more. LJ no sanedo: this is the most famous thing about my college. thousands of people gathered at my college for playing garba.

The fees structure is good at the college. The total fees was 55000 of entire year. There are some additional fees like exam fees which was 125 per subject, some stationary fees about 1000-1500. The refundable library fees about 2000. Fees at the college is very feasible compared to other colleges who charge more fees and provide worse services. The fees regarding the teaching is feasible but other fees like stationary fees are little expensive.

College doesn't provide any scholarship or loan from their side. But i availed scholarship provided by state government every year of about 7000.

Campus life at college is so good that some student came college to enjoy that. Gender ratio is about 60:40 There is one playground on which student practices cricket and football; and there is basketball court also. college sometimes held some cricket and basketball events in college. College treats everyone same regardless their gender, class, cast, or anything. College has one big workshop which include all testing machines, all types of lathe, CNC machines, welding equipment, drills and much more.

There was a hosted in early days of m admission but after 2-3 semester they broke the whole hostel to make a new law building, so no hostel facility at college now. But students can find PG easily as college is near to highway road. The expense at PG is as per area. Total expense from 10000-15000. And the quality of food at canteen is just average.

I don't know much about alumni network but seniors are very helpful to freshers. They guide freshers and junior in every matter like study, any event or fest and everything.

There were two exams conducted during the semester.. One is mid semester exam of 30 marks taken by college itself; and second is final semester exam of 70 marks taken by university. Thus total exam of 100 marks. In my college instead of taking one exam of 30 marks; they take two exams of 60 marks each. So its bit difficult to handle two mid semester exam in one semester but if you prepare properly, you don't need to worry for final semester exams.

First i had registered myself on the my university website. Then we have to choose the colleges which we want to take admission. After choice filling university prepare a merit for every college. If you get fitted in the merit criteria you will get admission. After the admission got confirmed by university, student has to submit his required document and some initial fees to the college he got selected.

Some of my faculty members are too bad that they event can't speak proper English and insufficient knowledge of subject as well. On the other hand some faculty members are excellent; expert of the subject, knows detailed knowledge of subject and practical knowledge as well. And some of are from medium category; just giving the sufficient knowledge, teach as per course, decided by management.
