Engineering College Life

I have chosen this stream for 2 main reasons. Firstly I have an interest in the Computer field and secondly, computer stream is very popular nowadays. The faculty of my university is decent. There is two class room(A and B) and in each classroom, 75-77 students are there. Personally, I like the teaching method of my faculty, especially for the computer stream. The faculty have an experience of at least 10 years and most of them are acquiring or acquired the PhD. Personally, I don't like the faculty of physics. There are 3 internal and one final exam that happens at my university.

Placement is the main reason that I am at this university. Placement is very good at Dharmsinh Desai University. The companies are coming in the 6th sem or 7th sem starting. Sometimes they are selecting students from the 5th sem also. This year all the students are placed and the average package is 8 lakh per annum. The highest package is 78 lakh which was offered by a US company. Companies like Infosys, Tata, Amazon and sometimes Google also.

Currently, I am paying 1,57,000/year. But there are government seats also available in my college and the fee for a government student is 1500. There are no scholarships available for Dharmsinh Desai University students but if you got 80 percentile or more in the Gujarat boards exam and then you are eligible for MYSY(Mukhyamantri Yuva Swawlambi Yojna) given by the Gujarat government and you will get 50,000/year if your university's half fees are greater than 50,000 and if you have opted a hostel then you will get 12000/year and 5000(Only for the first year) for books or stationary and if your fees are less than 50,000 then you will get that amount.

If you talk about Dharmsinh Desai University then it is the worst college in terms of infrastructure. The classes are not good and it is a home for pigeons. Only one fest happens in a year for a week called Felicific Week. But you have to attend the class also. Sports week also happens at that time. Sometimes coding seminars and workshop happens in the college. If you want to get a book then you have to go to the library in the early morning. Else you are not getting any books or you will get old additions books or you have to read from pdfs.

Dharmsinh Desai University is not providing any hostel facilities to boys students. Hostel facilities are available only for girls and medical students. So I have acquired a private hostel near my college. The hostel is decent. Good to live but worst food ever. You have to visit the hostel personally for registration. There are 3 types of rooms available. First is the AC room(3 people), Second is non-AC (3 people) and the third is the Super Delux room(2 people and AC).

Simply I have given the board exam of my state and secured a decent rank then it is a process called ACPC(Admission Committee For Professional Courses). I have applied to the ACPC site. There is a total of 3 rounds available.1.Mock Round 2. First Round and 3. Second Round. I applied in the Mock round and first round and I got Dharmsinh Desai University in both rounds. The application fee for ACPC is 300 rs. I am belonging to the SEBC category. So I got benefits of it. The admission process is so simple and straightforward forward and no need for improvement
