Course Curriculum Overview
I took admitted to ECE(Electronics and Communication Engineering) as I wanted to pursue work in semiconductors. Faculty members are excellent at the institute. Majority of them PhD holders while others have their masters. The faculty: student ratio is decent. There are 3 term exams namely T1, T2 and T3.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are also provided by the college. Usually, there is a summer internship available. Most tech firms hire for internships and tech roles as well. Firms like Infosys, HCL, Wipro, cognizant etc. offer internships with starting stipend of 10k/month.
Placement Experience
JIIT has a great track record of placements. It is an IT institute so the majority of the companies that visit the campus are tech-related or consulting firms. Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Many prominent companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Atlassian etc. visit the college regularly. The highest packages are also given by these firms. In 2022, the highest package was 1.15Cr from Amazon. The average package was 11lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for the 2022 batch is 2,70,000 for the first year. The total cost of the B.Tech course would come out to be 11.5L for four years of undergrad. at the institute. The institute has a great track record of placements and also provides internships to students. There is no such financial assistance.
Campus Life
Life on the campus is pretty good and lively. Recently we just had our annual fest, Impressions'23. The 128 campuses have their own annual fest named Converge. The fests are conducted in the month of February or March. There are many hubs/societies in which students can participate. These societies go to other events/colleges to perform and showcase their talent. Sports facilities are decent but some attention is needed.
Admission
The eligibility criteria for Jaypee Institute of Information Technology is either through JEE mains or through board percentage. The CRL rank in jee main is taken into consideration while allotting seats to students. You can the application form on the institute's website. The admission process is pretty straightforward and efficient.
