Entrance Preview

I gave JEE MAINS and secured a rank of 58642. I took admission in this college because it is credited with a brand name of PANJAB UNIVERSITY and also because it was nearby my locality.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course taught in our college is latest in comparison to other colleges and subject material related to the course is easily available on internet as well as through books.

Internships Opportunities

Being in mechanical, not many companies come to the college. And even those which come are mostly consultancies. Haven't been through the interview phase yet.

Placement Experience

Frankly speaking, if you want a good placement in UIET, then you need to be in CSE or IT. Else you have to be in the top 5percentile of your batch to get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholeships for class topers and for those in the EWS. Apart from that no major scholarship is awarded to students.

Campus Life

Campus life is not as happening being a government college but there is freedom of doing whatever you want. Ragging is banned here( actually). The university census shows that there are 70% girls in PANJAB UNIVERSITY.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is pretty weak and there is not much development to that section. But it is also being upgraded gradually.

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.

Placement Experience:

from 5 semester you become eligible for internship and pre placements i think 56 percent of the students get placed i haven't thought much about what i need to do after the degree but definitely i would be considering gaining some experience in this degree to enhance my skills

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Placement Experience:

For placement students can apply in their last year respectively Top recruiters at UICTE include Reliance, GAIL, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, and Technip, offering many roles, but exact offer numbers aren't publicly available. Highest package for chemical engineering this year is 12 LPA and average is around 5 to 7LPA I want to do something of my own after this degree

after 7th semester students are eligible for process of placemet many company recenty visited like tcs and infosys .average pacakage is around 700000 and highest pacakage is around 5200000 . 70% students got placed My plan is to join a good company after degree

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

I want to go abroad for higher studies and after that work for a multinational company. I will be able to learn so much about what has been taught to us, the highest package that was given was 42 lakh per annum and the minimum is 10 lakh per annum and CSE gets the highest number of the package.

my college: pros and cons

i had applied in jossa and received conformation for central university of rajasthan and iiit dharwad. i had to reject them because they were out of my budget and were also quite far from my house. i also applied for thapar(patiala) which i felt to be much more expensive. so i chose this college due to its affordabilty and easiness in travelling to home. also because it is a government college which has a high demand over private colleges. the admission process is purely online through jac chandigarh. it is based on your rank in jee mains exam...Read More

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location. It is situated in main Chandigarh and very near to my home. Moreover, it's placements are better than both of them....Read More
