I liked how affordable the couse is . Money won't be a problem for your education here
The location of the college. It located just beside the Shyambazar metro station which makes traveling easy
The college is affiliated with Calcutta University so education is good

Dislikes

There is not extra curricular activities happens here
Many times class gets suspended due to unavoidable circumstances
There is no special amenities available for us students

I was looking to do bcom hons as I was a commerce student in my school. Calcutta University is one of the renowned universities in our country so I choose to do bcom hons. Faculty to student ratio is about 1: 150. All of the faculty teachers are well qualified to do their jobs and does their best to teach us. There are only semester exams conducted which happen after every 6 months.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 3500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of this course is very cheap. Considering it with other courses anyone can do this course because pricing won't be an obstacle here. In my 2.5 years in this college, fees were never hiked which is also a very good thing. And this college also provides the swami Vivekananda scholarship which I also got. This scholarship benefits students who get 75% or above in their previous semester. This scholarship provides rs 12,000 per year making this course absolutely free.

Campus Life

There is no annual fest conducted here. Only fresher's events are conducted every year and sports events happen every winter season. The library of the college is very vast and there is a tremendous amount of books available. We don't get many amenities in the classroom. The only amenities available here are a light, fan, and a whiteboard. There are no extracurricular activities done on campus. There is also no social group, clubs, and website run by students.

Admission

The admission process was very easy. You have to collect the admission form and admission will be done according to your 12th grade. Admission will be done in batches. Firstly those who've good grades will get priority.

There are placements in the college campus in the last semester with several companies coming for interviews such as big 4 and big 6 companies and the placements are around 60000-70000 per month after the course.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
