Course Curriculum Overview
I had a great interest in Pharmacy for a long time so I choose this course. Our class has 8 faculties, 2 faculties for each subject, and other classes also have this. All faculties have a Masters's degree and some have Ph.D. also. Teaching is good but has language problems as not all have fluent English speaking. Each week we have a weekend exam and 2 mid exams for each semester. The exam is moderately tough but not very much.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is available but without stipend in companies like Analog Lab in the field of F&D. Now we are working on a project named 'Preparation and Evaluation of Solid Lipid Nanoparticles' under the department of Pharmaceutics.
Placement Experience
Campus placement is available from the 7th semester. Various companies like hetero, TCS, Mediassist, and Dr. Reddy have come for campusing. Each year 5-7 companies usually come for placement. Till now the highest package came is 400000 and the average is 200000. Profile offered is assistant manager, qa/qc officer, etc. About 80% of students got placed each year. I am planning to do a master's after this degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no price hike in this course but the hostel has a price hike. Each semester 45000 tuition fee and a 45000 hostel fee. The scholarship is provided by the Andhra Pradesh state government named 'Jagananna Vidya Deevena' by the honorable CM Mr. Jahan Mohan Reddy. The college provides a zero balance bank account for each student.
Campus Life
An annual fest like Pharmaphearangers and tech fests like Colours are held each year in November and March. All pharmacy-related books and journals are available in the College library like Pharmacopoeias. Classes have Projectors, Whiteboards, Good lights, fans, and benches. Sports like cricket, football, volleyball, kho kho, and extracurricular activities like singing and dancing competitions are held by the college. Social groups like sports clubs and committees like anti-ragging, placement, women empowerment etc are there.
Admission
50% marks in the science stream in class 12 is Necessary for admission to this course. The application can be found on the college website and can be filled out online. The application fee is very minimal and affordable. The application starts in the evening year after the class 12 exam. The application process is sufficiently easy but the website interface can be improved.
