Life at Nirma University.

I chose Electronics and communication as I was quite passionate about electronics and robotics since my childhood and wanted to pursue my career in the same. Honestly telling, as it's just been a couple of months since I was admitted here so I am quite unaware of the exact ratio but it's quite decent and faculty members are really qualified with Masters or PhD degrees. The term exams were around approx every 4-5 months and passing them was a bit tedious even for above-average students in a few subjects.

Nirma University offers a variety of internship opportunities to its students, partnering with numerous well-established companies. Some of the well-known companies that offer internships to students include TATA Motors, Reliance Industries Limited, HDFC Bank, and Zydus Cadila. These internships are provided in different roles such as marketing, finance, human resources, and research and development, among others. Moreover, the internships are accompanied by stipends, making them more enticing for students.

Nirma University offers excellent placement opportunities to its students. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The university has collaborations with top-notch companies like Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, Adani, Accenture, IBM, and many others. The highest package offered during the last placement season was INR 24 LPA, while the average package offered was INR 4.5 LPA. The university offers a diverse range of profiles to students based on their interests and qualifications. Some of the popular profiles include software developers, business analysts, marketing executives, data analysts, and many others. The university has a good placement record, with around 80% of students getting placed every year. After completing my course, I plan to work in the software development industry and contribute to the growth of the company. As It's just been 2 semesters since me being admitted here, I haven't seen any fee hike yet. But there are many scholarships provided by institutes based on their merit bases. And apart from that reimbursement of education loans on tuition fees is also offered here.

A cultural fest is annually organized named Nuzeale in the month of February. And there is a library with almost every needed book and journal for students. Classrooms are well-equipped with central air-conditioning, a wifi router and a charging plug at every seat. The campus has courts for sports like badminton, basketball, volleyball, and tennis as well as cricket and football ground. But sports equipment isn't provided by the institute. There are tech clubs like Team arrow, Team Stallions, Team AUV, Team Dyuas, and Team Robocon excelling in their respective fields at international levels.

I was admitted through my JEE Rank. The eligibility criteria for this course was to pass Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th grade. Application details for this course can easily be found on University's official website. Any reservation schemes for my admission have not benefited me. Overall the admission process was quite smooth but the timeline set was quite bad. As I had to pay my first semester fees for confirming my admission even before JEE advanced results were declared.
