IIIT Kota holds good placements

I am in the ECE discipline so I will tell you about that. I joined this course, particularly because of my interest in microelectronics and analogue systems. Faculty to student ratio is 1:15. All faculties here at iiitkota are highly qualified and had done their doctorate from various IITs and foreign universities. Each year is having two semesters and for each semester you have midterm and end-term exams. If you study well throughout the semester then you can easily score good grades. But studying one night before the exam always leads you towards low-grade points.

The college offers both 2-month summer and 6-month internships to the students. Companies visiting are Flipkart, amazon, Samsung, cvent, mac software etc. The top stipend for interns is about 1 lakh per month. It varies from 1lakh to 25k. Also, you will get an average of 40k stipend through the college.

Colleges have placements in the final year. Where above 91% of students crack FTE roles and interns every year. The top companies cracked are Codenation, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, Google, Tekion, Gameskraft, Infoedge, Cvent, Signify, CDOT, Samsung R&D, etc. The highest package for 2021_22 is 83 lakhs and for the current 2022_23, it is 52 lakhs. The average package is nearly 15 LPA every year. I got placed in one of these companies at 15 LPA.

Now coming to the fee structure. For my batch[2019], the fee is 1,26,000 for the first semester and then 1,04,000 for continuing seven semesters. And you have to pay additional fees of 47,000 the first time and then 32,000 second semester onwards hostel fees if you want to avail yourself of the hostel facilities. Every year there is a fee hike of nearly 5000 in the fees but it remains the same for the continuing session. It nearly costs 12,00,000 overall to study here. Now, scholarship is easily available for SC/ST students through NSP and various other government schemes. They pay nearly 1/2 of your institute fees. I got an offer from C Dot through college placements at a CTC of 15 lakhs. Also, almost 90% of students got placed at iiit kota.

Now coming to the campus, the college is currently running at 300-acre campus of mnit Jaipur. But next session onwards it is shifting to its own campus at Ranpur Kota. The annual cultural and tech fests organised are blitzschlag, sphnix etc. in the month of Jan, and April. For books, we have access to the central library of it where you can find nearly all books related to your discipline and online access to E-books and IEEE journals.

In order to avail hostel facilities you have to pay a total fees of 32000 to the institute every semester and also a one time caution money of 15000. Rooms are i think pretty decent to live in. May be some problems you will face regarding space but they are all equipped with WiFi. Meal provided is good in value of your money. You get a four time meal every day.It may happen that you will get bored eating same food on repetition. But they try at their best to keep food diversified for both north and south indian students.You can also avail nearby located PG's at same price.

IIIT kota provides admissions in B.Tech and M.Tech. In order to get admission in B.Tech one has to clear JEE Mains with a good rank. The cutoff scores for getting into the CSE branch vary every year but it's approx 20,000 for general category students and for the ECE branch it's 30,000. So you have to be in the top 1% in JEE mains in order to get admission in B.Tech. M.Tech programmes are recently started in the college so for those programmes you have to apply through the institute's official website with a good GATE score.
