Remarks

My college experience was good as i said earlier that except one or two faculties all were great. They helped me in every situation and the college management was good too but our hostel warden was not that much friendly. He always talked in very rude manner.

Entrance Preview

Amity conducted its own entrance test. But now days it conducts AMITY-JEE. I scored 261 out of 300 and i opted this college because i was not getting any other good college at that time and it was the only option that i had.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

In the very first year of my coarse we studied about all the subjects, it means that, that subjects too which do not belong to our stream ,like as i was doing civil engineering i also studied Electrical Engineering, Chemistry and more. From second year onwards we studied our technical subjects. Lab facility was not that much good at that time. But we somehow managed to clear our concepts. Three more compulsory subjects was also their- Communication skills, Behavioural Science and one foreign language . I choose German.

Internships Opportunities

No our college didn't provide us internship. We had to arrange our own and that without any stipend too.

Placement Experience

3

Placement of non tech companies was extremely good almost all of my friends from non tech branches got placed but core companies didn't come for placements. Companies that came for placements were - Wipro, Ashok Leyland (sales),TCS, Infogain and some more.

College Events

5

Yes i was waiting to answer this . Amity conducted Amiphoria, Sangathan ,Lohri Celebration and New year celebration too. In diwali all the hostel students who could not go to their homes due to longer journey were invited at our respected Pro VC Sir Mr. KK Ohri's residence for the celebration and food at their place was awesome. In Amiphoria many technical festivals were also conducted by our college and other colleges too, like Bob the Builder was one of the best fest for civil engineers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes the fee was a little bit more.See this for yourself 1 year- 2 x 75000 2 year- 2 x 78500 3 year- 2 x 83500 4 year- 2 x 88000 Hostel Fee -55000 per year that includes electricity and Laundary service. And mess fee was 2500/month in my I and II year and 3000 for III and IV year. The mentioned figure was for the year 2012-2016, i heard that they had already increased the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't take any load but my friend took it. Amity was collaborated with several banks in that area like OBC, Sbi. They themselves asked the student to provide the loan if they wanted to take. In this matter they were very helpful. And if you are first in ur class than u will get scholarship of 100 %.

Campus Life

4

Mostly students in the engineering department was boys but their were more girls in LAW department than boys. Students their were from almost every state of the country and some of them were foreigners too. Most of them were economically good, as they dressed very well and used cars and good bikes. In first year ,second year students gave the fresher party to their juniors to interact with them and in the very last year 3 year student gave farewell party to their senior. And these parties were mostly organized by our college but in college their were some rules so they made another plan out of the college too. Very good friendly environment was their except some times when engineering department guy fought due to some reason with law guy, but our security was very quick and if they were out of control then they got suspended too.

Hostel Facilities

4

We had to share our room with one person in the hostel. U couldn't choose the person in your I year but after that u could. Actually hotel life was very good but the infrastructure of hostel was not that good, it was like rectangled shaped building with 5 floors and no big opening except windows. No canteen in the hostel itself. We had to walk 200 m to use cafeteria and canteen facility. And no one could leave the hostel after 10 PM. Mess facility was so so . The food was not that much good and not that much bad also. The other facilities like PG were available at the cost of 6k to 7k with food in that area but u had to pay electricity bill in that.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors in the civil engineering department was good, they personally helped me a lot. They arranged my internship in one of the reputed company. And they always help me in each and every situation and advice me to explore the various aspect of civil engineering as it is very vast and oldest branch of engineering.

Exam Structure

Actually exams at amity was one of the difficult task. They arranged the exam in a very good manner. No one can move a bit because flying squad was always their to look upon the student and if ur concepts are crystal clear than u willn't face any problem in the exam .Lab part was not that much tough.

Admission

At first Amity conducted its own entrance test which included Essay Writing ,General Test(maths, science and general english related questions) and an Interview. Actually at that time amity didn't conduct AMITY JEE and one could apply for any coarse in b/w may to july. Administration was really good, very helping and i liked the way they were treating with their students and their parents who were their at the time of admission.

Faculty

4.5

Most of the faculties at my college was PhD. They taught very good but one or two faculties that were assigned for teaching core subject was very bad. Overall they were good. Their teaching style was good they make us understand the things very clearly.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
