BITS PILANI-IT's magic. when I needed help, my friends were there to help me. I can't forget them ever. My friends are best memories from my college.

I took JEE,BITSAT.In Jee my rank was 7037 and in my bitsat score was 323. At that rank of jee, being a general student i didn't get anything neither i applied by following last year statistics. I selected Computer Science in BITS PIlani Hyderabad Campus reason being most interest in Computer science then other courses offered by BITS Pilani.

In computer science, courses offered are as follows. 1. C programming language- to get to know about programming languages and their basic. 2. Data structure and algorithms- discussion on algorithms such as Dynamic programming and data structure such as stack,queue. 3. Data base management system- where we get to know about data base management. 4. Design and analysys of algorithms- where we were taught how to compute complexity of our algorithms. and more. I took electives as follows. 1. Artifiicial Intelligence where i got to know about neural network. 2. Machine learning

In first semester, there companies comes which offers internships for which we have to give their coding test after that interviews rounds are conducted. Companies and their stipends are as follows. Mircosoft-30000 per month Nutanix-90000 per month. Morgan Stanley-40000

There are two semesters. In both the semesters which companies come and offer jobs. Each company has their own procedure. For IT Companies generally first round is coding round. after that interview rounds are conducted.In first semester-- nutanix offered 35Lac CTC , deshaw offered 29 lac,amazon offered 27 lac, oracle offered 22 lac. Average package for IT Companies in first semester is 17 lac and in second semster it is 14 lac.

Technical festival-ATMOS where from all of the india, team participate for many events like roboWars, coding hackathons.Sports festival-ARENA where all types of games are played from indor to outdoor. Like tennis, chess,cricket,football,basketball etc.At the end there is PEARL which is cultural festival where all type of events happens like dance competetion,singing competetion etc.All festivals are organised by student body.

Little bit expensive. Each semester it is around 1,50,000. which include tuition fee, hostel fee, electricity and mess food. Loans are provided by banks at the campus premises itself. and there are scholoship offered by college like Merit Cum Need and Merit.

Load facilties are available in campus itself which is given by state bank which is situated in campus premises itself. Scholarship are given to meritious student each semester based on their perfomance in semester exams. And there is one more scholarship program which is Merit Cum Need which is offered to those whose parents income is below 6 Lac.

Student Life- every sports available- be it cricket or football or basketball or tennis. In hostel volleyball and chase, carroms are available everytime. Some events are organised on regular bases like dance night or music night or dj night for entertainment. Gender ration : on 100 boys there are generally 25 girls.

Hostels are beautifully built. Each person gets its individual room and each room has net connectivity. Rent for one semester is around 20k including internet,electricity, mess food. In every hostel there is place for playing where you can play fields games like cricket,football or volleyball. each hostel has one common room where TVs are installed where you can watch movies cricket matches.

Senior are very friendly. We can reach them any time as per our need for any help like how to prepare for particular subject. how to apply for passport or any common problem like where to go out , nearby best places to visit. they tell you everything You are given various coaching like dance practices. techincally there coding rounds are organised by seniors where you are rewarded with money. In alumni, One of bits alumni has given India's first start up-GreyOrange robotics which does warehouse management system.

When i was in college, there was no compulsory attendance. U can come or not, its upto your wish. In each semester, 3 times exams are taken. Test 1 generally taken after 1.5 month of college commnecement. Test 2 are conduct after 3 months and at the end there is comprehensive examination. Exams are were strutually organised. and these exams are not so much hectic.

I gave bitsat-2013 for which application forms were released in Feburary-2013. Whole process was online, from filling to application form to BITSAT exam to admission. There was no paper work involved. There are choice available for selecting day of examination. I took my bitsat one week before jee to test my preparation for jee. I never knew, i will get admission in bits at the end. We get to know our score just after exam where i score 323. Some nominal Fee was to be deposited for taking part in admission. once seat is confirmed, i had to make full payment of fees which was around 1Lac. Then we were called to campus where photos were taken for IDs. and induction was given for whole procedure.

MR Bhanu Murthi for DSA was very nice. He was the best faculty for DSA and machine learning. MR. C. Hotta's lecture for Operating systems and Computer network and his knowledge for these course were excellent. Both the faculty were easily approchable for doubt and special session if we needed. You also have opportunities to work under them as a project or teaching assistant.
