college experiences

a lot of funds come to the college but it's not utilized properly .overall the management of college is nice. cleanliness is the top priority of the Canara. We have hostels which have connections but they lack internet facilities.

I qualified to jee main examination and scored 79 marks and got this college in spot round of The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) .I opted this college because it was a centrally funded college and being govt. funded the fee was quite low as of 25,000 and it was near to my home.However, there was no interview for the college.

The course structure of Manufacturing engineering is some part of mechanical engineering syllabus. It's not quite for Manufacturing engineering students. we are provided internship projects by the faculty members of the college like Tata motors, Heavy Engineering Corporation, ISWL, Jamshedpur and various power plants etc. However, these are just internship projects and we are not provided any stipend for these.

The fee structure is quite feasible. . its just 2,08,000 for the complete b.tech course of 4 years which includes hostel charges, establishment charges, library fees , internet fees, transportation charges , examination fees etc. an average middle class student can easily study

yes the college gives the scholarship to top 10 sc/st students every year and also to 7 top students whose annual income is below 2.5 lakhs and availed above 7.0 cgpa in the preceding two semesters, yes the loan facility can be availed from canara bank which is inside the hostel campus.

The life of campus is a bit of boring because the gender ratio of male: female::6:1 which is not good .we have students from south of the country and are of various religions. We have clubs like SAE(society of automotive engineering) , dance club, music club, rotory club etc

hostel facilities are very nice and clean for living but there is a lack of internet facility in our hostels which make our life quite miserable. all the hostel and other charges are included in the fee structure. the mess food is quite of low quality and they charge upto 90 rs per day.

the alumni association of the college is very nice we are helped a lot by our seniors from different multi national companies by providing ample opportunities and job seeking.

The exams and labs are quite regular and exams are very strict but labs are easy to handle . we can easily pass the examination by studying a week before the exams. However in the odd semester, the questions are from outside and we have to labour a lot hard in exams.

After qualifying to jee main examination, I was told to report to the college administration after the notification was released. The administration of the college system was really helpful.They had uploaded what necessary documents we have to carry for reporting on their website www.nifft.ac.in

The faculty of the college are quite qualified and have teaching experience of more than 10 years. They are quite knowledgeable but their teaching way is quite old which seems boring to the students. some professors have done their p.HD from iit's and they are very helpful to the students.
