Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of its ever-growing pace and high packages. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:50. Faculty is very educated and very supportive. Exams never seem to end they occur almost every 10 to 15 days.
Internships Opportunities
A lot of companies come to Chitkara for hiring and a variety of roles are offered including both tech as well as non-tech roles. The college helps you in preparing projects which in turn helps you create a good resume.
Placement Experience
From 6 sem the students become eligible for placement. According to the college, more than 90 percent of students get placed. The average package is around 6 to 7 LPA. The highest package usuals get around 35 to 40 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike policy is somewhat irritating. They hike fees every year. I didn't find anyone who got a scholarship from chitkara so maybe there aren't any. The cost of study around 2018-2019 was bearable but now it seems way more expensive.
Campus Life
During my tenure, the annual fest didn't happen. The library is somewhat average for both the sitting option as well as the availability of books. A lot of designated sports courts are there. A number of varied social and dedicated clubs are also there.
Hostel Facilities
Basic facilities are provided but most of the goods are to be brought by you. Mess quality is better than other colleges. The registration process is quite simple and easy. A lot of PGs are also available in a radius of about 8-9 km.
Admission
I didn't take any kind of test before applying for Chitkara. Everything is available on their website. No kind of reservation is there. The strength of Chitkara is increasing rapidly also a lot of new companies are approaching Chitkara now.
