It has the best curriculum any engineering college has to offer in the entire country. Starting from a comprehensive basics course in 1st year covering all the departments, it deep dives into depth of the particular engineering stream chosen. It had many a social electives of holistic development of the students.

College per say doesn't provide internship. But the students undergo a compulsory internship at the end of their third year, either with a company or with a university abroad in research.

The placements are excellent. The college provides a placement cell, SPU, which has representatives from students of all departments and the staff from college. These contact with the interested companies and firms to invite them to college for placements. Statistics are very close to 100% placement.

There were many intra hall and inter hall events other than the college level festivals. Antaragni - The cultural festival Techkriti - The technical festival Udgosh - The sports festical Umang - The film festival Other than all the halls/hostels had their own festivals. Galaxy being very prominent and fiercely contested and won by Hall 3 always.

Fee structure is very reasonable. Very affordable by students from all classes. Apart from being government subsidized, their are scholarships on offer for those in need and deserving. Fee is charged per semester and the hostel/mess fee is to be paid per month.

The institute offers a Merit cum Means scholarship right from first semester. In addition there are many scholarships being offered by Alumnis and many firms. The college also aids in easily securing the loan for students in need by tying up with majority of the national and regional banks.

Campus lie is great, many activities organized by college, students community and the various clubs for one to partake in. Gender ratio is not so promising with very small girls to boys ration. The situation is even more so for certain departments.

Hostels are very spacious and in excellent shape. Occupancy on double and single basis. The rooms are big and very clean, heaving all the requisite amenities there. Majority of the students are hostlers. There is a mess for food, providing good quality food three times a day, in addition there are canteens in each hostel.

The alumni network is very supportive and connected, with chapters kin all the major cities and nations.

Bi annual semester structure. Total eight semesters. Each semester had two mid-sem exams and one end sem exam. Other than that depending on the course, their was weightage to lab exams and experiments. One B Tech Project in the 4th year. Compulsory for some departments.

First you take non-medical in the senior secondary examination and be master of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Then you toil your way for 2-3 years in preparation and take the IIT JEE exam. Post that you undergo a counselling process to select your department and the college based on your rank.

The best qualified faculty. Chosen with excellent track record in academics, substantial degrees from Top colleges of the India and US and a knack for research. The faculty acted like mentor to people. They were always their to guide the students in all manners
