Remarks

Over all college is good. The only thing that went wrong is selection of wrong faculty for this important job. quality of education became down because of such faculty members who are wrongly selected and thus are unable to perform therir jobs. irony is that these people are not transferes to other locations and if some time transferred they get themselves back in comfortable position due to their influential links. Management of government colleges is always an issue of concern. With efficient management the administration of college was lot better in our time but now it steeply falling due to the inefficient and corrupt administrators.

Entrance Preview

Direct admission based on merit. It was a college is my nearest location. Opted college for graduation in science steram.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Course curriculum is very old and needs timely updates. It is not in accordance with the norms required to get an entry for higher studies. Extra efforts are required from students other than their regular curriculum. There is very less or no impact on overall personality development of a student. These is a very less space of group discussions and interactive module of learning.

Internships Opportunities

No. There is no provision of internship. None of the companies visit college for recruitment or internship.

Placement Experience

0.5

Similar to many colleges offering general education at graduation and post graduation level the situation is not very different. Most of the students study here to complete their basic degrees so that they can try to get into government or civil services. The college is not focused to prepare students to take a responsible/technical job in private companies so the job opportunities are relatively less as compared to students studying professional courses of management or engineering.

College Events

1

events like annual sports, annual function, ncc camps, nss camps, happens in college. but these are not celebrated as big events as we see in big universities or private colleges professional education. annual sports is a 2 or 3 day programme in which their is an opportunity for all the students to participate, but due to very less encouragement from the faculty very few of them actually participate. annual function is a 1 day cultural function which is hosted by the college student union under the help and supervision of some faculty members. NSS camps is a 7-10 day programme separately for boys and girls where the participants take part in community development programmes. their are 1 day NSS camps on national festivals like 15th august 26th january. Adittionaly university atheliic meet or other events are hosted some times where participants from other colleges of the university comes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very affordable for students. In 2002 it was only around 1500/- per year. Presently there is almost no increase in fees because it is a government instutution. Scholarships are provided to sudents of reserved category to support their education. We can say that as a college at graduation and PG level the fees are very feasible for students and for underprivileged students, there is facility of scholarships.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had not availed any scholarships as I do not come from reserved category. but for students of reserved category annual scholarships are available which are around 5-7 thousand per year. aditionally separate hostel is available for SC/ST students which runs under department of social welfare where students have to pay almost no expenses other than their personal expenses.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is good. Students enjoy college life with their friends, but when it comes to extracurricular activities due to a lack of interest and encouragement by the faculty very few people participate. There is cultural society in the college but you will come to know their names only at time of elections. science labs are ok, sports is not encouraged but there is a local stadium in city and people in nearby locations are also keen to make their name in sports thus the city has produced some good players through the college. There are some debates but again they are not that effective. Gender ratio is almost 1:1

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Hostel facility is available only for students in B.Ed course. Usually the students of other coursets are from nearby locations so do not avail or we can say there is no need for hostel facility. in earlier time there were few colleges so students from other cations use to come here for studies and they use the hostel facility. College had a big hostel of around 20-25 rooms which was once converted into a computer education lab for some time. Only few students stay in hostel. Food quality is ok. average rental for students in area around college will be 2000-3000 for a room with basic facilities. PG's are almost nil.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no effort towards setting an alumin network by the college and university. College and university have produced some good scholars sports person and people who have succeded in their field of work, but because of a lack of network setup old and new students are not in touch.

Exam Structure

examinations are strict and under good supervision of college faculty as well as university officials. labs are equipped with required material but due to a heavy number of students the things are not available in sufficient quantity for all. even after a very high student teacher ratio the examinations are peaceful and without any malpractices.

Admission

Admissions are on direct basis. Filling the admission forms in the dates specified by the university. Along with the past education details (marksheets & certificates) along with participation in NCC or NSS. Some marks add up for participating in sports activities at various levels and then an overall merit is declared on basis of marks secured in educational programs, certificates of participation in NCC/NSS and sports. Some special leverage is given to students who have extraordinary performance in various sports under sports quota.

Faculty

2

Faculty of the college is not according to the level that should be at the level of higher education. Many of the faculty members does not takes interest in various activities related to education. Team building activities are just restricted to some NCC/ NSS camps. Faculty does not encourages students to attend lectures ar try to resolve their problems. Faculy for science group is ok, they are knowledgeable and dedicated for their task, but others are not like that. you can say that their are good faculty and inefficienty faculty in the college but ratio of inefficient faculty is lot more are compared to knowledgeable people

One of my relative told me that this course have large scope, and bright future so my brother applied for this course and i did this course and now i realised that it is good but they do not provide placement we only rely on our own. I think college should conduct sessional exam on time and the external exam should be conducted in 6th month. Exam are not much difficult.. they are moderate level.

The course curriculum at MBPG college covers all the core science subjects with basic practicals but you need to have extra skills if you want to learn more. Also the curriculum is bit theoretical and but practical too.

I can name some companies with whom our college does have made tie-ups but since none has been placed as we will be the first one to be placed, it would be inappropriate to answer this question. Still, ISRO to DRDO are the organisations for which our course is Inclined.

I chose this course because I had a science background in 12 th and I am especially interested in Botany and zoology, which are also helpful for preparing for NEET and other competitive exam.the curriculum is useful for basic scientific understanding and future studies, but the college needs better lab facilities and more prectical instrument so students can gain proper hands on experience.the exam pattern is balanced, with some portions being easy and some difficult, while internal exam are generally moderate and depends on the students preparations

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite good and easy to understand. Among all the subjects, I like Chemistry the most, and topics related to transition elements are my strong area. This subject increased my interest in the course and helped me understand concepts more clearly. I chose this course because I want to make my career in the teaching field, and the syllabus provides a decent theoretical base for that. However, this course is not very helpful in terms of jobs, internships, or skill development, as there are limited job opportunities after completion. There is scope for improvement in teaching methods, such as more interactive and practical-based learning. Exams are conducted twice a year on a semester basis, every six months. The exam pattern is manageable, and the difficulty level of the papers is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I have seen students who have studied from here have achieved many things in life some of them became professors here. Some are doing work abroad. According to me something there should be a change like having more practicals if you have taken subjects like IT, cs,bca or any other practical subjects book knowledge is also compulsory but by doing practicals we can learn more easily. Exams are normal for 1st year but as you are going higher difficulties will come.
