Remarks

1. The college focuses on discipline which though annoying, is a very good thing. 2. The labs are awesome. 3. Extra curricular activites and fun events are negligible. 4. The management is average.

Entrance Preview

I gave COMEDK exam for this college. I chose this course because I wanted to work in energy sector or automobile sector. There is no interview process, only a counselling process after you get a rank in COMEDK exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

1. The course curriculum is according to what is prescribed by AICTE. 2. The laboratories are very good and you will get ample practice on various machines. 3. They have opened many labs in MOU with Bosch etc. 4. They take regular classes and there is definite emphasis on studies.

Internships Opportunities

At undergrad level they do not provide internship.

Placement Experience

4

The placement opportunities are very good. More than 80% students of CS/IS get placed. ECE/EE students also get placed. But ME/CE students dont get many core companies to chose from, usually they get placed in IT sector.

College Events

2.5

1. Technical labs which gave good certificates from companies like Bosch are a permanent fixture. 2. Our college annual festival was crappy and even we didnt attend. 3. Though departmental fests were organised, they weren't very popular. 4. Altogether, the festival and extea curricular scene in our college was dismal.

Fee Structure And Facilities

1. The tution fee was 1.37 lacs when i was studying. It was specified by COMEDK. They control the fee upper limit of all colleges. 2. My college though charged extra 30k per annum for HR classes which are of no use. They don't help, if you have an inherent quality of soft skills, then they will help you, other wise get help from other sources. 3. Hostel fee is around 70k, but the hostel food is so bad, you are better of spending 100k outside, living in a pg. 4. The college is more expensive than colleges in North India, very much more expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. They give scholarships to students who perform well in exam, but very less number of students and that too a very small amount. 2. They do help the SC/ST/OBC students to get scholarships from the government, wherever applicable.

Campus Life

5

1. The campus is clean, big and beautiful. So beautiful in fact that you will see movies being shot in the campus frequently. 2. The colleges i fairly new, and the buildings show that. They are all glass and steel affairs. 3. Gender ratio is on par with the average of other insitutes. 4. Labs are awesome, simply awesome, no other word. 5. There are big grounds, but our colleges isn't very keen on sports. 6. No competitions worth mentioning happen in our colleges, though on unibersity level there are many. 7. And we always have some notification about the external competitions happening.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

1. The hostel rooms are good and large. 2. They give a bed, table, chair and cupboard to each student. 3. The rooms are regularly cleaned. They are airy with large enough windows and the whole buildings are designed for good atmosphere. 4. Bathrooms are average, and as you can expect not hat clean. 5. The food is absolutely puke inducing if you are from North India. If you are not much of a foody, you can stomach it but not otherwise.

Alumni/Alumna

1. I was not very keen on interacting with seniors on account of that they were all idiots. 2. Though ragging is very taboo in our college, some do try to rag. But dont worry you are very safe. 3. I haven't interacted with any alumni of our college worth my time.

Exam Structure

The labs were very frequent and each lab had some marks allotted to it. But the labs themselves were pretty fun, with chilled atmosphere and friendly teachers. They took 3 internal exams in a semester, but it was easy enought to manage, as they were pretty easy exams.

Admission

The admission process is pretty simple. After the results of COMEDK exam are declared, you have to fill a form for counselling. At my time (5 years ago) I had to make a DD of ₹50k, but the payment may have been made online now. Then you just have to go to counselling and select a college and branch acoording ti your preference what is available at your rank.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty is average, as is in any college. Some professors are good teachers, but all of them try. They work hard to teach the students. But most of them teach only for marks in exam and not good knowledge. That maybe preferential to you, but its not good practice actually.
