VIT entrance exam (VITEE) is to be taken in order to gain entry in VIT UNIVERSITY. my rank was 24000, approximately, as the score is not revealed. Selection is based on the ranks of the students VIT University is best in biotechnology, in terms of lab facilities, infrastructure, and opportunities available to students, hence I chose Vit.

In my year it was very confusing. We did not know anything, and yet we're expected to do everything impeccably. The curriculum is vast and is called FFCS( Fully flexible credit system) where the students will choose their faculty, the building, timing, and slots(either morning or evening). Make sure to discuss with a senior and a teacher in detail about the curriculum.

College as such does not provide any internship. However, the faculties guide the students in getting a good internship. Also since most faculties are very renowned in their fields, a letter of recommendation from them goes a long way.

Placement and job opportunities are excellent for CSE students. If a student is good at his/ her concept, the average package for CSE is 7lpa. Mechanical, civil, IT, EE also have good placement opportunities. Over 700 companies come to VIT every year, so placement is always good. However, there is harsh competition​ for good companies.

the best part of cultural activities is the dance club, the fashion club, the dramatic society, music society, etc. The glamour associated with these clubs is par. The students wait for the tech fest GRAVITAS and cultural fest RIVIERA with a lot of zest. Several celebrities such as Sunidhi Chauhan, Arjun Kapoor, ranvijay, Mohit Chauhan, Saleem merchant, Vishal Dadlani, have visited cit during these fests, to name a few. These cultural fests are exuberant and are a must-attend if you are in town

It was feasible when I was a student, now it is very expensive. And if the student has got rank above 100000, it is extremely expensive. Better send your kid to foreign countries for higher studies, will be better. Tuition fees alone were nearly 1.2 lakh and then there are hostel fees( that varies on the number of students per room and AC availability) and mess charges. The mess can be south Indian, north Indian, or special mess, in ascending order of charges.

Yes, VIT provides scholarships to district toppers of Tamil Nadu and Andra Pradesh, one girl topper and one boy topper.

Stepping in VIT University is like entering a township of adolescents aged 16-25. Students from every part of the country as well as many parts of world esp China and Africa are abundant. Approx 66% of Indian students are from North India (of which 19% are from West Bengal) and rest are from from remaining 5 south Indian states and NRI's. Vit is highly active in debates and robotics, car races (building and racing), making of flying bots or planes, etc. Not only is vit a great institution for academic extracurricular, but also it has several cultural aspects as well. In sports, we have throwball, basketball, table tennis, athletics, etc every year and prize money is given to the winners. The hostel is excellent. It is always clean, the washrooms are cleaned at least thrice a day, the workers are very efficient and friendly. However, mess food is pathetic. Mess service( in mess) even worse. Food quality is very good, however, the taste is not up to the mark. You will get several dishes, and a student will enjoy them for the first semester perhaps, but after that it's unbearable. However, A and B block girls hostel mess is excellent with food service

Yes, the seniors are very helpful. Be it academics, cultural activities, or even personal. Seniors have gone through very similar stuff that we went through and they are excellent at giving advice and insight on how to get around the problem, and sometimes, even how to solve the problem.

We have a very strict exam structure during the entire semester. It comprises of QUIZ1(5%) CAT1(15%) QUIZ2(5%) CAT2(15%) QUIZ3(5%) ASSIGNMENT(5%) and TERM END EXAM(50%) It is a rigorous schedule of exams and can be hectic as there are the classes also that a student has to attend, and also some of the other club or society. It's hectic but it makes for excellent character building, and it also paves the way for long-lasting friendships

Admission is a simple process, carried out with perfect efficiency. The admission process of Vit University is so impressive ( it's procedure) that parents but have to send their kids to this institute. Depending upon students' rank, admission is given. Counseling dates are mailed or posted, with time slots in ascending order of ranks obtained. Student is then asked to choose his/her branch depending on the availability and interest. And then parents are to pay the admission fee. Once that is done, the total fees of the year are to be given to VIT and on its basis, students are given their registration numbers. Boom, now your ward is a student at the prestigious University.

Faculties at Vit University are excellent in qualifications. Most of them have doctorates from the best universities in India and from around the globe. There are some faculties that are not good at delivering their knowledge appropriately to the students, however, most of the faculties are good teachers. Strict, but good teachers. Some teachers are lenient and good teachers and are without question, students' favorite.
